It is the best [redacted] thing you’ve seen all day.
Say hello to the Infinite Jukebox, an experiment in looping songs. See those curves cutting through the circle? What this bad boy does is analyze the song for similar beats and sounds, then randomly skips between said beats forever.
Yes, you heard me. Forever. With this piece of musical genius, you can literally play the same song for as long as you want - It will create the song that never ends.
And if that’s not enough, you can upload your own MP3s to this [redacted] and it’ll loop those as well.
Have fun, kids.
HA HA HA HA HA~! Roundabout has entirely too many jump points! It screws up the lyrics into word salad and just randomly jumps into these long, disjointed solos! It’s hilarious!
Granted it’s really good, especially for a picture.
But how does it sound like a unicorn?
“Wow! That’s amazing! That opens up so many possibilities!”
I thought when I first glanced at a file. Then I tried to learn a song from the notation and… It’s just wrong.
Everything from single instruments with un-notated, elongated measures (meaning the other instruments would go out of sync unless every single measure following was rewrote), to ridiculous tempos with doubled up notes to create an effect that only works in midi format, to notes that are just plan wrong.
You see this?
That’s not the right note! It’s not an E! It’s an F sharp! It sounds like an F sharp when you play the file, but it’s wrote as an E in the program!
I tried a couple of different midis to see if it was a fluke but they’re all like that. Basically, it’s a nice thought, but in practice it’s just a hot mess.
In all seriousness though, because I didn’t know about it! There’s some gems here that take a track and give it a unique style without overpowering it.
Not sure how this relates to sheet music, but thanks for letting me know about the site!
Holy crap why didn’t anyone tell me the SilvaGunner channel is back?
There’s… There’s thousands!
I hadn’t heard it before. But artists of every medium have been making work
of a similar subject matter for a very long time. I mean, the song
basically summarizes the entire punk movement, albeit in a more accept yourself
pop-tone: We don’t need you. We didn’t ask for your input. We will live
our lives and carve our own path. To that end, while not as
prominent as romance and the like, I don’t consider the song as
impactful, or (and I feel the word is rightfully deserved) revolutionary
as Here was for speaking the unspoken and giving voice to those without.
Of course, it’s still a
fantastic song! And by no means am I saying it doesn’t live up to
Alessia Cara‘s previous work. Her voice, enunciation, and lyrical
prowess are every bit as rich. She sings with such conviction and weaves an incredible tapestry! I’m especially fond of, “We brought our drum and this is how we dance.” Completely unapologetic in its delivery. A steadfast statement. Neither seeking nor even acknowledging acceptance. “We have no apologies for being.” Her take on the subject is a fantastic
entry and certainly worth listening to more than once!
There’s this awesome little frontier-sounding track that plays when you
ride a horse in the region of Serendia in the game Black Desert Online. And that’s what this post was
supposed to be about. Kinda lost focus and just started talking about the game. That’s all after the break now. The track is what I was trying to highlight.
A~nd, a lot of them are poorly done, or a waste at a cheap joke, or ruined by loud garbage that has never, not even in the height of youtube poops, ever been funny. The real draw to a channel like this is the raw quantity of videos. Good golly!
This one’s great too, if you stop it at the 2:35 mark before it does that loud, distorted crap.
2) Super! Can’t wait to try it myself! I’ll make a tumblr/Ponyville crew!
You know… when it goes on sale or something…
So I was listening to the radio at work and this song came on and I was just… woah. Far from being one of the millions of songs about love, or how cool you are, this song is about social anxiety. And if that was all it would be pretty interesting on that note alone, but it also sounds amazing!
Wow. I mean, I remember tracks like this from Legend of Mana. But I honestly don’t remember this one. This is fantastic!
1) Mostly because fictional implies not real.
2) B: Your “house” was a deathtrap of wards and enchantments designed to capture and harm intruders while practicing dangerous experiments, possibly on dangerous animals- I never asked because I didn’t want to know. I specifically warned you not to reactivate any of those traps after I left, but knowing your adventurous, defiant ways, there’s no way you complied. So if I told you where you live, instead of being stabbed you’d be dead. You’re welcome.
3) Only in that it’s original connotation referred to those who had lost their virginity before marriage as without purpose in formal romantic affairs, regardless of how it happened. But this was also before the full physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual damage of rape was known. That the phrase’s use today is often associated with other, less horrific things is the result of melodrama and the dulling of society into a numb and uncaring state.
The jitterbug is a very very very old dance move that I’m pretty sure went along with a song called the Jitterbug that came out before Wham’s song. In fact I’m pretty sure the dance and song came out in the 50s
