There is no meaning to life.

There are no consequences for our actions beyond this plane. No reason to care about what happens to our world after we pass, or about the feelings of anyone around us at all.

But that’s what gives us a reason to be kind and considerate ponies. There’s no reason to gain incredible wealth or power when it serves no purpose once we’re gone. All the money in Equestria might give you a few extra years to your name, but that will never compare to decades of friendship and caring that you can give and receive.

We strive to make the world a better place for those that follow for absolutely no reason whatsoever. We’ll never see the fruits of our labors, or the smiles our actions bring. But even in a world where there is no right and wrong, it’s just the right thing to do.

Nothing really matters.

If you do something that ponies will bother to remember about a hundred years from now, that just means there will be ponies who will put a negative spin on it.

Just enjoy life now. Maybe try to improve the lives of the ponies you know just by saying ‘hi’!
