1) I think you accidentally the whole “be.”

But yeah, I imagine so.

2) I guess I kinda go in and out of phases. I like SRPGs, but sometimes I get in a FPS mood, or an adventure mood, or like a buildy-type mood.

To date, I think I’ve played City of Ponies more than anything else. That’s sort of an Action RPG with SRPG-style character customization.

3) Heaven or Hell; Duel; Let’s rock?

4) They do not. That is purely a brony phenomenon.

5) Maybe if I was the only pony with a lyre cutie mark I’d be the best.

6) Possibly. Sweetie goes and spends time with her now and again.

7) Do song lyrics count?

image

1) Ka-Do I even need to say it?

2) Sounds like a date, honey bunny!

3) Yes, I think I get it. As for your earlier question, that’s hard to say. From my perspective crime was pretty rampant. I have no idea how bad it really was per capita; I don’t have access to records like that.

Either way, it’s not like that anymore.

4) They’re two different methods of immersion. I wouldn’t say one is better than the other. Both can be screwed up. I prefer story stuff to be told to me while I’m playing and/or for stuff to take place around me while I’m playing. Pausing the action for things like cutscenes can offer you a break, but it can also pull you out of the experience. On the other hoof, it can also provide you with much more clarity about what’s going on than just com links/disembodied voices.

You know, I think a mix of both would be my preference.

5) Nothing about this ask sounds like anything that would happen.

6) I know this was sent before hoof, but like I said here, there isn’t much I can record right now music-wise given my computer situation. Even still, I only found music for the original track, not the remix.

Sorry, Rainbow. If you really want me to I can record and upload just the melody, but without so much as a bass it’s going to sound pretty poor.

7) Aren’t you d-? No. I guess This could be from before that.

Salut? How can I help you?

The computer trouble saga continues as I have my computer wiped and the troubles persist! Hardware issues are the best issues!

image

1) Eh. Makes sense. You know, in that doesn’t make any sense sort of way.

2) I guess if you use “your” enough you’ll eventually get it right at least once.

3) B: I’m not gonna chastise the colt for trying to do the right thing.

4) B: So does everypony.

5) There’s all kinds of websites about how to recycle old VHS tapes.

6) I’ve beaten Contra without dying, but probably Shin Megami Tensei: Nocturne. Blaster Master was pretty tough too.

7) Uh… Yeah. Okay.

image

1) Oh. That sounds familiar, but I never checked it out.

See, I like the Deus Ex games, but I’m just a fan of the games. The world’s lore is too sparse. They do a great job of wrapping everything up into a neat little package in each title, but that leaves so much unexplained between games. Makes for a great game, but doesn’t do much for a fandom. And that’s what any decent fandom is built upon; the world in which the story takes place.

2) Do any substantial number of humans pick berries out of trees or eat walnuts they find on the ground daily? Same thing.

3) That’s an awful specific sound.

4) I get the feeling we’re having difficulty striking a balance.

5) Lyra was never simple pony. Unimaginative bronies spread rumors about Lyra and make Lyra out to be simple pony. Lyra sad Hulk sad. Lyra sorry Lyra not simple, but Lyra not changed. Lyra get Hulk Klondike Bar.

6) I certainly have.

image

1) Of course there is. I just have no control over it.

2) I don’t know. The roster just doesn’t seem that interesting to me. Even if the levels look like Smash Bros., the characters feel more like a Vs. game. Mostly mature, adult-oriented characters with a few oddballs mixed in. I don’t understand it. Namco has always been tight with Sony and I see a Tekken character. Where’s Klonoa? Where’s Pac-Man? Where’s Mr. Driller? Atlus has always had a significant presence with Sony. Where’s Jack Frost? All my love for Twisted Metal, but why is Sweet Tooth in this game?

It just looks too dark and mature and I feel like it’s going to miss that foalhood demographic that the original Smash Bros. hit and grew into a franchise because of.

Eeh- But no. I don’t have a Playstable 3. Only PS2. Outside of Littlebigplanet I have still yet to see anything exclusive to that system that interested me enough to want one.

3) I guess I’d look vaguely egg-like.

imageimage

1) I don’t think I’d go so far as being angry, but I doubt I’d be comfortable.

You do know we’re not really made of marshmallows, right? I weight over 45 kilograms.

2) Getting tired of going over this in more detail just to have it come up again and again, so let’s simplify it. My page; my rules.

3) Per our conversation last night, this is why I’d have rather you not commented on it, Boscov.

4) Thank you! I’d also like to mention Front Mission 3, Ogre Battle, Blaster Master, Galaga, and Star Wars: Kni-… No! Super Mario All-Star! Nopony ever brings that game up but it was so awesome!

5) Uh… I mean…. Seems like you’d just want to go to med school, right? I mean, unless the medical field is really competitive where you live. That just seems like something you’d study after working for a while. But I have no idea.

6) Not in particular. The power surged around here several times for close to an hour last night from the one that just passed through. Plus I’ve had to sleep outside during a few.

7) To be honest, I’m not really interested in the movie. I mean, yeah- It’s kinda neat as a novelty, but that’s about it.

8) I wouldn’t joke at the expense of a child. Also, you really seem to like those foreign defender-team shows.

9) There’s this thing called business…

10) Like I said, just a few too many ponies that thought me being scary was-

Oh! Blades of Steel! Best hockey game ever!

image

1) Not even.

And no offense to Rose, but if it were me, as soon as I heard this I’d have some concerns.

2) Don’t know. I never answer that question because I believe all games have crippling faults that, at best, level them out too much with other titles. So instead, we’ll just name five games that I like.

Deus Ex: Pony Revolution, Timesplitters: Future Perfect, Kirby Super Star, Mario Tennis, and Final Fantasy Tactics (Heavy note: ONLY THE ORIGINAL TACTICS. ADVANCE SUCKED).

Plenty of others I could have named, but there you go.

3) I would have no idea.

4) Don’t typically fry potato slices. We have hay fries.

5) … This is getting old.

6) Why, yes. Yes I do.

And for future reference, I don’t like showing the number of characters used in the theoretic swear. That’s why I use “[omitted]” instead of random symbols or asterisks.

image

Not bad. I’ve heard that style of music plenty of times, but I have to admit I’m having a hard time thinking of a Sci-Fi work that used it.

In fact, the only work I can think of at the moment is Timesplitters. Though really, what does the future sound like? And does it always have to have the same energy? Can it relax? What if it needs even more tension than usual? Does this even sound like the future anymore or is it too upbeat/familiar? And if you want something alien

Personally, I’ll always favor retro Sci-Fi for my futuristic. What could possibly be more futuristic than a style of music that will never be popular in the present?

And while I was searching for music before settling on Timesplitter tracks, I stumbled upon this one track from Parasite Eve that was only available on the music CD. Only slightly related, but it’s pretty rad! I wish I could sing like that.

2) Well this certainly couldn’t have come at a better time. Excuse me while I go cry.

3) That’s silly. You’re silly.

4) That’s… interesting.

5) Thank you, friend.

6) Thank you very much! I like your tail!

7) Ash? From Phantom Brave? Hold on! Hold on! Let me see if I can find Marona’s! … Here we go! “Valiant phantoms, aid me in battle! Chartreuse Ga~le!” Ha ha! I used to think that was awesome! Ah… Fast forward and it never quite held the same weight as Lenneth’s “Come to me dark warriors, battle awaits us!” from Valkyrie Profile.

8) Wasn’t in Ponyville this year so it was just a small… Uh…

… I have no idea… I slept in. It really wasn’t in Ponyville this year, though.

9) Unless his genetic makeup was altered, that’s not shapeshifting, that’s transforming. Shapeshifting is a biological trait. But I see what you’re getting at.

I never hold anything against an individual unless they prove it warranted. But when it comes to a group, any collection of creatures be it based on species or ideology, I have to make split-second decisions based on generalizations. That’s one of those sometimes unfortunate reasons I’m still alive.

10) Probably dozens more, but I’m no biologist.

11) She seems pretty unhinged.

12) Huh. I always thought those things were volunteer. But congratulations!

1) While I appreciate the relationship advice, aren’t you supposed to ask me questions and then I give an answer?

2) I haven’t and am not, no. Wicked beat, though.

Outside of kart racers and Super Hang-On, the only racing games I’ve ever played were from the Need for Speed and Grand Turismo series. Never been too terribly fond of racing games, but hey, if it’s a good game it’s a good game.

3) Uh… I mean I understood what you said, I just don’t know why you said it.

4) As far as I know. I guess they die. Since their legs structure resembles a pony’s, I imagine they die like a pony. Probably not; though I have no idea if that would limit their shapeshifting ability. It would most definitely be illegal to test them.

5) Even if I could remember that far back, how would the orphan know?

6) Historical records indicate nothing that resembled a systematic rule during Discord’s reign of power. The further you were away from any social gathering, the better the odds of being safe, further invalidating your argument about fairness.

7) Flexibility, I imagine.

8) And it only goes downhill after that.

9) No. In fact, since he wouldn’t have stood out in anyway, I may never have started paying attention to him in the first place. I love him because of who he is.

10) Didn’t click that link, did you? I’m feeling generous, here’s a more specific one.

Okay, these are the last ones from me for a few days. While I’m with Boscov this weekend, I figured it might do us some good if I left tumblr behind until we get back.

But don’t worry! I’ll have a friend answering questions in my absence. He’ll be the one answering that changling question for me. I would ask that you treat him with the same level of respect that you give me, but that would be stupid. So how about treating him with more respect than you give me?

See you ponies in a few days!

1) All I can think of is Grand Theft Carriage. I prefer games where you either help ponies, or you’re at least given a choice.

In City of Ponies, I have about as many hero/vigilantes as I do villain/rogues.

2) I wouldn’t consider myself a member of any fandoms, no. I like things like Deus Ex and Stable M.D., before it ended. But I don’t obsess over them and don’t really associate with others that do based solely on the fact that they’re fans.

3) Welcome to Moonside.

Wel come to moo nsi ns dem oons ide.

How about I sharpen you?

I just love sharpening.

You don’t want me to sharpen?

Sidem oonsi demoon. Welc welc omewelc omeome.

4) That doesn’t sound like a good idea.

5) Nah, but you go ahead.

image

1) Well I’m asking why you’re asking. Why this keeps coming up. What am I giving off that gives ponies reason to think that I do?

2) You know? I was afraid that was going to happen when I went there, but I didn’t have any trouble with it. The water area in Megaman Legends 2? That gave me fits upon fits. But the one in OoT was okay.

On the other hoof, I didn’t think Ocarina of Time was all that great. Link to the Past was the best one.

3) Alright, I’ll be there. Not that I wouldn’t have been if I was, just… Anyway, I’ll be there.

4) It was my fault for not saying anything sooner.

image
I love Dark Cloud.

1) Maybe just nice, safe, time restricted hugs.

2) Now this is a good edit! Very funny and I loved how the creator even designed the layout to be similar to the first area in Pony Revolution.

However, considering the whole thing was created as commentary against the third game, I’ll still never understand Deus Ex fans. I liked all three games.

3) It was a polished game. I remember it being very well balanced and the town design mechanic was interesting. You know, where you talk to the ponies to find out what they want and adjust the town’s layout so that everypony is happy? I thought that was really cool!

Only problem was the game was too long for what it was and the last character was garbage. By the time I unlocked him, tried him out, and his weapon broke almost immediately, I just didn’t care anymore.

image

1) I’ve never been formally trained in close quarters combat, so there isn’t much to remember.

2) Roguelikes have never appealed to me. The closest thing I’ve ever played to a roguelike are dungeon crawlers like Azure Dreams, Dark Cloud, or that endless dungeon in Lufia 2.

Oh, and Chocobo Dungeon 2. That was a pretty fun game to play with a friend!

Come to think of it, does Diablo 2 count as a dungeon crawler?

3) Is it the cinnamon swirls in every bite? ‘Cause if it isn’t we’d be up a creek.

4) For the last time, I’m not obsessed with humans! Okay, I talk to them and sort of study them and maybe I think it’d be cool to have retractable fingers or a robotic glove I could remove at will, but not because I’m obsessed!

5) If we’re talking about a theoretical situation, because they’re weaker. If you’re stronger, then you can theoretically hurt those weaker.

If you’re being literal, you’ll have to cite a recent example.

6) Mint! Hey! It’s been a while! How are you? How’s the baby? It’s late but come on in!

7) If you’re weightless, then wouldn’t I inadvertently contort your body, possibly fatally, the moment I move a muscle? You’d just disperse in the wind.
