Game-wise is a little difficult as you kinda have most of the games I’d recommend. At least as far as Steam goes. So if you can [ahem] find some way to acquire them…

Ogre Battle: MotBQ and Ogre Battle: PoLC - Jam-packed with content. We’re talking customizable armies, equipment, classes, unlockable characters, alignment system with consequences (actually makes the game harder if you’re a good guy), multiple endings. A little thick; you’ll probably want to read a little about the game’s mechanics before you start. Both available on VC!

Front Mission 3 - 1, 2, and 4 are alright (I never played 5), but 3 is the most streamlined without limiting your customization tremendously. Plus it has 2 completely different storylines, each a full game’s length. That’s a lot of value!

Dynasty Warriors 3 or 7 - On the surface, a button-masher. At higher difficulties, a very tense action game where you must constantly balance which of your allies to help and when. 8 is very flashy, if you only intend to play it a little bit. But the longer you go, the more you realize how infantile the enemy AI became. 7′s generals could be hard as nails.

Robot Alchemic Drive - Absolutely bananas game. Giant robots. Intentionally bad acting. Unique controls. Here’s a video (Warning: Blood. Kinda). This was the precursor to the EDF series. It’s also one of the only games I beat more than once (I beat this game 3 times!).

As for a show, how about Growing Up Creepie? That was a cool little cartoon about a human girl that was raised by bugs in a mansion and her interaction with ordinary humans while going to school.

I’m embarrassed to say, but I’ve never heard the entire Excalibur album by Grave Digger. Still, I’ve managed to collect 6 tracks from it over the years. Emerald Eyes alone is worth listening to as a slow, metal love song. And Excalibur still has my favorite solo, period.

I’m still alive!
Yep. Still here. Just busy. New work schedule.
I know! I’ll post a song! I mean, that’s obvious now since I changed it from a text post but you get the idea.

1) It was a delightful ceremony, though admittedly I was a little preoccupied. Had some things to think about.

2) Lyra: Oh, you got me. All these years I’ve just been joshing you folks. I’m actually more than a little gay.

Bon-Bon: Lyra.

Lyra: I’m actually Super Gay! And that’s not just a status, but my superhero secret identity!

Bon-Bon: Lyra.

Lyra: No no. This is what they want. I am so~ gay, that if I walked into a room being monitored by a gay-ometer, the display would cycle thrice and then read TILT.

Bon-Bon: … Got it out of your system?

Lyra: For the moment.

3) I think the thing that upsets me the most about that game is that any other company could have made the exact same game. And I mean the exact. Same. Game. And nopony would have cared. But because Neightendo made it, everypony ignores that a full priced game launched with as much, if not less content than a free-to-play title still in beta. And isn’t that just a little sad.

4) I’d be surprised if this Killer Queen didn’t also have a laser beam of some kind.

How about… a wendigo… with the power to… possess objects and… reveal identities. I dunno. I’m just tossing stuff together here.

Edit: Oh, and my stand could be called Everlong.

Sorry I haven’t really had a chance to do much on here. Kinda got some stuff going on right now…

Here’s a song! It’s a good one!

1) 19/2000? 3’s and 7’s? 25 or 6 to 4?

2) I played the first two- that is Katamari Damacy and We Love Katamari. Fantastic game. And I own both soundtracks! Everlasting Love is my favorite! But that’s probably because Lonely Rolling Star was my favorite from the first game. But really EVERY SONG is FANTASTIC (Cherry Tree Time’s possibly excluded)! Of course, I can only speak for the first two games because that’s all I’ve played and all I’ve heard. And of the two, the original’s soundtrack tends to be the strongest overall.

As for The Prince regarding our previous subject, I’ve been saying he should be playable in the next Smash Bros. since Katamari Damacy first came out (between Melee and Brawl). His size and quirky nature would make him a unique addition! Plus, the cousins would function perfectly as alternate color schemes! Kinoko’s my favorite.

3) Nope. Holiday’s excluded, you gotta pick one per visit.

4) Forever disappointed Grave Digger wasn’t mentioned. They’ve been around for over thirty years, released sixteen studio albums, and they’re still going! Their latest album (which I haven’t heard yet) came out just last month!

Still, a fantastic walk through the various genres- and of course I was interested! I love metal!

Favorite song check! Have I really never listed Excalibur? This song in particular, aside from being from my favorite band, holds the distinction of having my favorite solo!

When U Bon Com Home And Make Hte Spagheti

1) Bon-Bon: Uh… No. I don’t care. I mean, it doesn’t mean anything to-

Lyra: Oh my gosh yes! Where are your cups?! I checked like every cabinet! What? There?! Why?! Why would you put them there?! That’s stupid! Next you’re going to tell me you put your bowls in an upper cabinet too! You do?! AGH!

2) My vocal range is somewhere between nails on a chalkboard and the sound of a toilet flushing. Very technical, I know.

If I could sing, my comfort zone would probably fall somewhere between Tricia Brock of former Superchick and Lacey Strum of former Flyleaf.

Example A: Stand in the Rain
Example B: So I Thought

And of course I mean singing the instruments! I do it alone all the time, just usually have sense enough to not do it in public.

3) Um… No? That wouldn’t make any sense. There are a few, sure. But pursuers of feminism are activists. As in, you have to actively be doing something toward the cause.

4) Well, I’m terrible at regular fighting games. But I was halfway decent at Smash. So yeah, I got kinda into it and forgot that the point was to have fun.

1) Lyra: Knock-knock.

Bon-Bon: Who’s there?

Lyra: Something funny.

Bon-Bon: Must not be a knock-knock joke then!

[Ba-Dum Tsh]

2) I wish I could believe this, my twenty-two thousand three-hundred thirty-forth AOL-inspired clone. I could use some relaxing morning-time jams.

3) Sure, but that’s just for entering a country, right? Entering and exiting are two very different things.

4) Uh… There’s some posts I’ve made while drunk. They’re not so great… I’m cutting back. It’s an expensive habit anyway.

At my best while drunk, I’ll usually try singing something outside my effective vocal range (which isn’t great to begin with), complete with instruments. Sometimes forgetting to even sing the lyrics because of doing the instruments.

At my worst? Well, imagine a drunk pony struggling to remember the lyrics to a song that’s entirely too confusing to be attempting while smashed. While all the above is still in effect. I can usually nail the chorus, though.

1) Thanks! And hold on, let me dust this answer off.

Poof. There you go! In all its terribly drawn majesty!

And as always, favorite song post! Come on everypony; sing along! You know this one!

Just a small town gi~rl! Liven in a lo~nely wo~rld! She took the midnight train goin’ a~ny~whe~re!

2) Bon-Bon: Seems like a semi-popular subject to explore. This one caught my interest because it takes more of a cultural look at the experience. It’s told by several ponies from what they know about title character. I’m a little ways in and we still haven’t heard from anypony that’s actually seen it.

3) Well… If I was told this is where I’d be five years ago I could have believed it. But to just think it up myself? No.

4) Nope.

5) I love hugs! Everypony knows that!

6) Sadly, Bon-Bon seems to be the more adventure equip of us two. Sorry. But you’ve been doing pretty well with rocks. Maybe you can make a helmet out of rocks!

image1) You were an adolescent back then? Luna above! I knew you were older than me but I didn’t realize you were that much older! You’re old enough to be my dad!

2) Huh. You know I think I read that book before. I might go back and read it again. But if I do, it would only be because it’s midnight. … That was a- That was a stretch to… Heart of a Lion-Anyway.

I think it took your “Awwww.” and saw “www.” and sent it to Tartarus.

3) Even when I was playing Silver I wasn’t really that into it. And from what I’ve been hearing these newest generations are less legit tactical rpg and more “You activated my trapcard!”-style measure, counter-measure, counter-counter-measure when fighting others. Or just steamroll easy in the regular game.

I mean- I’d totally play it if I had a 3DS and a copy of the game, just to play something different. But I don’t have either.

4) White Flag.

1) Oh, absolutely! Tots required listening.

2) Even twenty years ago? Well, I’m sure you’re not the only one that feels that way. One working theory is the rise and fall of renaissance-style movements. Current “modern music” as a classification beginning only after the end of he last musical renaissance, which itself would have taken place sometime around your 1950s-1980s. It’s all based on nothing more than opinion for now, though.

And of course, if somepony from your world’s distant past heard some 80’s metal they’d probably be all, “Da [omitted]-ith be this depravity inflected upon mine ears?” And then Lyra would have to smack them for speaking ill of Ratt’s Round and Round; one of my favorite songs.

3) Bon-Bon: Why thank you very much! I’m not used to anypony paying so much attention to me! Sweetie Drops is open from 9 to 9 so I would say twelve hours, but I don’t really work during that whole time. It’s just if anypony happens to drop in I’m there.

Bon-Bon: Well, as one can imagine Lyra has exposed me to all sorts of music. But I tend to like the lighter, more upbeat ones. There’s this one really good one that I listen to sometimes.

4) That’s pretty cool. Kinda like a resort?

But I didn’t know they built preplanned school house-style facilities. Figured that was just a rural thing. Converted churches and what-not.

1) For the most part I don’t listen to single bands or musicians. I listen to songs. That said, my favorite band is still Grave Digger.

Human music in general is real big here in Equestria. It’s so much more diverse. Regarding your feelings for modern music, I think it’s important to keep in mind that most songs, albums, and bands from times past, even successful ones, are lost to obscurity. What you almost always hear are the best of the best. It’s not fair to compare that to modern music as time has yet to pick out the best it has to offer. You’re subjected to everything marketable, which as you’ve noticed does not mean quality.

But for now, favorite song post! I found this one a while ago. Came with a computer. I Ka Barra. Excellent piece. You can find a translation of the lyrics to English here!

2) I’ve… never heard of a school being converted into another building. There’s always more ponies coming into the world. Shouldn’t more schools be built?

image

1) Can be pretty sure I wouldn’t.

2) Oh my Cels! You’re right! There’s weapons everywhere!

I swear… The only way you’re going to find or craft a weapon is through channels that are carefully regulated. Heck, even every ounce of metal a blacksmith uses is carefully tracked by the government.

Best weapon you could muster would be to improv with a kitchen knife or a bat. And the gangs back in Canterlot used to do just that. Wasn’t terribly effective in the short-term. At least to a moving target…

3) I’m not going to scold your decision; I was there once and it’s yours to make. But if you have the time, there are more rewarding avenues than “the easy way.”

4) What’s a “video game?” And Portal 2 sounds like a prescription suppository for diarrhea.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I just finished reading about Dynasty Warriors 8 and I’m psyched. Huang Gai’s default weapon is a [omitted] boat.

5) 1, yes. I pirated it because I didn’t think it would be much, but it turned out to be great, so I felt bad about it. I don’t want to pirate 2. I’d like to buy it legitimately, if I ever get some money, to support the developer.

6) Are you going to just start bringing up everyone that’s ever lived? Because this line of questioning is kind of stale already and it hasn’t even started.

7) Sure did! Was a great show! And that was a good episode!

My favorite was the one where Megadeth showed up and they played Back In The Day.

image

1) I’m not sure. Nothing’s stuck in my head at the moment.

Oh wait, I remember.

2) Not most of the time either.

3) You better bust dat if you gonna pull dat.

I prefer X Gonna Give It To Ya (Warning: Explicit Language).

4) What kind of question is that anyway? None of us have a reason to be here, we just are.

5) What does that mean? Afraid of somepony who is gay? How do you-? What does that-? How does that happen? What are they expecting?

“Oh no! That homosexual has a knife! Surely we are doomed!”

Humans are weird.

6) What, again? You gonna call the first three times a mulligan?

image

1) I’ll make this simple. Equestria as I and you know it cannot exist without Princess Celestia in power. The Princess has to be free of corruption to rule (though also free of innocence). If the Princess is free of corruption, then none of this grimdark murder-spree garbage is going to happen. Not in present day Equestria, at any rate.

2) Getting that strange sensation you don’t understand how this family-friendly tumblr thing that I’m running works.

3) I’m defensive against stereotypes about appearance and weight. I’m accusing bronies of being perverted spies.

4) Ugh…

5) Didn’t seem necessary. She was completely and totally defeated. Plus, Twilight was the only one she was ever really after. The amulet’s corruption is what directed her hate toward others. But mostly, if you’re standing in front of the winner of a magic duel, probably not a good idea to get into their business.

6) ‘Cause I don’t want you bringin’ your circle 'round here (Warning: Coarse Language).

7) Yes, but I don’t know if I’ve ever explicitly explained what that entailed.
