The Great and Powerful Trixie does not require your permission to speak to her heart’s content about whatever subject tickles her fancy. But, since you are in such need of aid, The Great and Powerful Trixie supposes she can spare a moment from her busy schedule to indulge.

Hatching the Pokemon eggs is easily the most boring and time consuming part of Pokemon breeding. Simply carry five eggs at once, and a Pokemon with the Flame Body or Magma Armor ability. As you must always carry a Pokemon with you at all times, only a foal would waste their time hatching eggs without such an addition.

As each egg of the desired Pokemon hatches, if they do not possess the desired Nature/Ability, then release. By that time you will likely be able to acquire another egg and continue. As it is a continuous sequence, Trixie recommends you bicycle back and forth along the same route as the daycare to speed up the process of hatching, release, and procurement.

As far as leveling the newly hatched Pokemon, if you are in a rush, re-battling the Elite Four and Champion, along with attaining the maximum rank in the Battle Chateau will allow you to fight the highest level trainers available. Simply give the desired Pokemon the Lucky Egg and open every encounter with said Pokemon; switching them in and out as each opponent’s Pokemon is defeated.

However, The Great and Powerful Trixie must caution you. Always EV train your Pokemon first using your preferred method.

As for the remainder of your plebeian rambling, The Great and Powerful Trixie does not know of any Lyra or Bon-Bon. However were she, however unlikely it may be, somehow stricken down with physical injury, she would not oppose to being waited on in admiration by her adoring fans. Not that she isn’t already.

What was that? Not only permission to gush but an outright request? WELL! HOW CAN I SAY NO TO THAT!?

Well, once I heard about Protean, I knew I wanted a Greninja. While I was breeding starters with their hiddens, I found Iron Fist on Infernape and that it could be tutored Thunder Punch. Knew I wanted that. And when I found out Golurk could still fly, I was all “Oh I gotta have that!”

While still breeding starters, I found out that a Snivy with it’s hidden doesn’t exist. So I looked up the ability, Contrary, and found something that does. Then I recalled fighting a Malamar with it using Superpower to boost its attack and defense (instead of lowering it) and I said “I want it!” I later discovered that the point of Inkay/Malamar is actually Topsy-Turvy, and to that end it would have been better if mine had it’s hidden ability Infiltrator. But I had already restarted so it was too late.

I never used a Fairy-Type Pokemon or move so I wanted a fairy of some kind. Originally it was going to be Sylveon, but while looking through the list I remembered that Clefairy could learn Cosmic Power; which is a move I’ve been wanting to use. While researching it, I found that it also learns the most powerful fairy attack, a heal, and Stored Power (which grows stronger the more buffs you have). On top of all that, when it evolves into Clefable it’s hidden ability becomes Unaware, which ignores enemy buffs. So, since it has a baby form, I grabbed that.

The last one was tough. I wanted something that could Mega Evolve. I wanted a Poison-Type, since I almost never use Poison-Types, but I already have a ghost, so I didn’t want Gengar. That just left Venusaur. And no offense to Venusaur, but I used it a lot back in Red/Blue/Yellow. So I went in another direction with one of the other Mega Evolutions that had caught my eye: Ampharos. A slow, but bulky Electric-Type that not only gains a dragon attack, when it Mega Evolves it gains STAB toward its dragon attack.

Notable mentions to Kangaskhan: who has a great Mega Evolution, and Celebi with Hold Back: who was cut once I realized I didn’t have a Pokemon that could Mega Evolve.

1) Bon-Bon: It’s just nice to be able to cook what I want. Even things that aren’t candy!

2) Oh yeah. There aren’t that many new Pokemon, but there’s more in this game than any other.

Generally you specialize in two stats to max them out, then put the last few points in a third stat. But which stats depends on the Pokemon, the moves, the ability, and the strategy.

Unless you meant tips on the super training mini-game itself. Though the different soccer icons mean different things, I’ve found the best strategy overall is to fire three or four times, then do a charge shot while your energy (the little colored circle) is building back up.

1) I’ve heard nothing but good things, but…

I’m just a po~or ma~re! I ain’t got no money!

2) So… what you’re saying is… Fluttershy sent the top one and you sent the bottom one.

3) You do realize I’m publishing these as revenge for Thanksgiving, right? Just want to make sure you know why.

4) Not to spoil anything, but “that one guy and his group are traitors” doesn’t really mean much in that game.

I think I know where you are. Not sure how fast I can catch up, though. Don’t wait for me if you can manage without. Don’t want to slow you down.

5) The reason Golurk can fly is probably because it’s a ghost. That’d be another cool Eevee; ghost-type.

I’ve seen the still artwork of each Mega Evolution, but I’ve only seen a hoofful in motion.

Oh! Speaking of, thanks to the help of Grey, I’ve restarted my file with some carry over items and my new team is ready! This time I’ve got Protean Froakie, Iron Fist Chimchar, Golett, Inkay, Cleffa, and Mareep.

Still need to EV train them all first, though.

1) Oh! I didn’t know you were still playing! How much further have you got? I loved playing with you and would like to do it again. Of course, if I got on your nerves by killing everything I’d understand if you’d rather go without.

And yeah, the slot increases are pretty steep. I think after the 80 Gold one it goes up to like 300, and then 1,600 or something ridiculous. Still, huge inventory for what you can just carry around with you. Speaking of which, since we’re on my main server, I have some gold. I could toss you 80 if you want. I know you only have one bank slot.

2) According to this, that’s a human country. Never heard of it before. Don’t know why. Seems pretty big. Looks like things aren’t going so well over there right now. Evidently revolutionaries just chased the former president of the country out of office. Lots of riots.

3) Well. Love might be a strong word. I certainly have noticed that I don’t get very many anymore.

4) Ponies would get completely buried in snow that deep!

Well, there’s always been other Lyras in the same dimension as me, so Lyras in other dimensions isn’t such a big deal.

I’ve thought about the Eevee thing before. Just seems a little too specific for me. Plus none of them can learn Fly. There should really be a flying-type Eeveelution. That’d be wicked awesome.

5) You’re already going to be helping me plenty by letting me trade Pokemon with items to you and trade back!

6) And thanks for the Froakie! Not only do I have it, I got lucky and already managed to get a female with Protean! Evidently Ditto/Male Hidden breeding yields much higher chances of passing the ability than just the 20% I read about.

With my full team now ready for the next cycle, I just need to get all the version exclusives for Grey, set up the pokemon I’m temporarily trading with the proper items, and grab the three legendaries I’m missing from this playthrough.

1) Thanks! And I love my background! It was made by a filly named Applebloom quite a while ago! She was gone for a while but lately there’s been some suspicious numbers popping up on her tumblr page!

2) Oh it’s a huge game changer! I managed to beat the regular singles battle sequence in the Battle Mansion in one try and almost using only one Pokemon! I like a lot of different Pokemon too. That’s why I wanted to play through the game three times! So I can use different teams!

Yep. Pretty much gone now. I can’t even imagine two feet of snow! I’ve never seen that much!

3) Bon-Bon: Nah. Forcing your eye to stay open while you shove a piece of plastic in there isn’t so bad. It’s when something else gets in there that you want to tear your eyes out. But hey! Glasses that tint in sunlight sound pretty snazzy!

4) Thanks! That’d be great! Bearing in mind we’d probably have to trade like ten times, and then trade back. But I can search around X and find all the version exclusives for you to keep if you want!

Also, if no one told you yet, your Pokemon Safari is Ghost-type. You’ve got Phantump and Shuppet. I can’t tell what your third is because we haven’t been on at the same time.

Edit: Oh, one big thing. Before I start over I want to get my hooves on a Protean Froakie/Frogadier. And that might take a while.

Maybe a little. But you do have to remember I started with a full team of six. Plus Skarmory and Miltank both have much higher base stats than normal for that point of the game. And while I turned the EXP Share off at around level 30 (the Champion’s Pokemon were all higher level than mine), I used the same team throughout the entire game, so all exp earned was centralized on them and I only had to Super Train six Pokemon. I also didn’t spend much time in the Battle Chateau.

Not like I’m done yet either. Presently I’m leveling a Dratini I caught to turn it into Dragonite and teach it HMs to free up move slots on my team. I still need to catch the three post-game legendaries and at least unlock all the TMs and stat boosting items in the Battle Mansion.

Although… I’m still throwing around the idea of restarting. After looking some stuff up, the berries aren’t such a huge deal. I can’t seem to find much use for money so buying all the TMs over again shouldn’t matter. So I’d really just need to find somepony to trade Pokemon holding mega evolution stones to, and then trade back. Possibly a few expensive BP items like Life Orb too.

Well, since I don’t have any asks I’m just gonna poke-rant for a moment.

Okay, so all the Eevee-lutions have at least a relative use for their respective hidden abilities, except one.

Who thought it would be a good idea to give Jolteon Quick Feet for it’s hidden ability? Jolteon is not terribly sturdy; if it gets hit by something it doesn’t resist more than once, it’s probably already down (if it survives the first hit). For the ability to activate Jolteon has to be poison, burned, or paralyzed, the later of which it is immune to as of gen 6 (and never something you want to be regardless). Being poisoned or burned takes away critical health for an already fragile pokemon.

But even if Jolteon is burned or poisoned, what exactly is it going to do with the extra speed? It’s already in a six-way tie for 11th fastest Pokemon overall; and 4th if you don’t count mega evolutions or legendaries. So why didn’t they give it something useful like Lightning Rod or, like, anything that doesn’t involve boosting speed?

And of course I complain because the Jolteon I have has Quick Feet when I would have rather had the default Volt Absorb.

I don’t know.

You’re not there.

I give you my love,

But yo~u don’t care.

What is right?

What is wrong?

Give me a sign…

Pokemon!

Okay, so think of it like a Pokemon. It’s like a chameleon with a scorpion stinger, only it has no poison on it’s own. It has to dip it’s stinger into the little pot on it’s back to coat the stinger in poison.

It rubs the poison off by stabbing the dirt a few times and then it can use the stinger for utilitarian purposes like pickin’ up food.

I put this together real quick. I don’t know what’s going to happen today. I sent Rarity a message a while ago, but I haven’t heard anything back yet.

I just wanted to make sure I had something ready no matter what.

This is an automated message.
