5) Try not to look at it from the understanding you have of your own world. It’s not illegal. It’s just not legal. It never has been. Nicknames, shortening of, dropping parts; all common. But legally altering your name based on preference alone is… very strange. Very foreign.

That’s a funny type of question.

I don’t even know if Liora is the name my parents gave me; it’s just what I was always called, as far back as I can remember anyway. I have no idea what my full name would be.

Well, no. Because my actual name isn’t Lyra. It’s Liora.

When I got my cutie mark, I dropped the “o” and turned the ‘i’ into a “y”.

I thought it was clever.
