1) Congratulations! I still owe quite a sum. I’d probably be paid off by now if not for that one semester at a university.

2) Great! Can’t wait! Just let me know what time or message me when you’re around!

3) I had but I hadn’t looked it up until I got this message. It looks pretty cool! Not so sure about starting at level 50, though. When WoW did that with Death Knights the level cap was 70. It’s still only 60 in Tera.

Also, super lazy developers for making it exclusive to Mithra- I mean Elin. No excuse for that.

4) Bon-Bon: Lyra conveniently hurt her leg by… how was it again?

Lyra: Sitting. Sitting with my leg bent too long.

Bon-Bon: Which is evidently a thing that can happen.

Lyra: I can taste the sarcasm in the air. It really did and still does hurt!

Bon-Bon: But only when you bend it.

Lyra: Only when I bend it more than a forty-five degree angle.

Bon-Bon: Right. Right. But as for me, I just helped out where needed.

1) Ah yes Mawile. Huge Power on it’s Mega Form turning it into the strongest physical attacker in the game. Can have some significant gains from egg moves too.

2) Hmm… Nope. Just beat One-Way Heroics by defeating The Darkness on Inhumane Odyssey with Maniac Mode on, the highest difficulty. Other than that, nothin’.

3) Bon-Bon: Ugh, I wish she’d have been so civil.

Lyra: Oh! That reminded me of that one Rugrat’s episode! “DRINK ME!

Bon-Bon: I’ll turn him into a flea!
Lyra: And I’ll put that flea inside a box!
Bon-Bon: And I’ll put that box inside another box!
Lyra: And then I’ll mail that box to myself-!
Bon-Bon: And when it arrives-!
Lyra: I’LL SMASH IT WITH A HAMMER!

Holy moley! Can you break that up next time into a few different asks? That’s a lot of stuff!

1) In Tera? Sorry I don’t know much about that. The stuff I would have bought in that was so ludicrously expensive I never spent the money.

2) Lyra: Oh… My Celestia. They-

Bon-Bon: Now hold your horses, Betty Brown. My father loved you. He thought you were funny, and smart, and witty-

Lyra: And your girlfriend. He only cared about me because he though I was your girlfriend.

Bon-Bon: Well- Who’s fault is it that you aren’t?

Lyra: I… ech- Ugh!

3) Oh. No. It’s a calculation that ponies who work in competitive fields created that places a value on the various stats of a Pokemon. They sort of explain it here. I never took the time to understand it myself. But when planing out a team, I aim for Pokemon that, in their final form (or only form) have around 475 or higher base stat total.

Like you mentioned, Shuckle can have some incredibly high defense/special defense, but its base value in those fields is really only 230 each. However, with everything else added together, that’s more than enough to push it to a 505 total.

4) Hey, as far as I’m concerned, when you’re playing by yourself you should be free to play the game you spent money on however you want. As long as you had fun, that’s what’s important! And that sounded like fun!

5) I take it Vivillon rounded out that number.

6) Oh! Ha! Glad that didn’t upset you after all! And yes, abysmal, not abyssal. It was kinda late at the time.

1) Bon-Bon: Oh it was fine. Despite anything Lyra might say. It’s not like they even stayed here at night.

2) Lyra: Weather has been pretty nice lately, same as you. And from what I’ve heard it’s about to be not-so-nice, same as you. I wonder if there’s a correlation.

Bon-Bon: I guess it did impact sales. Didn’t really think about it when it was going on. When stocking up on the necessities, candy isn’t really high on the list. Probably why there was so much left over.

3) How about Friday? If that’s too soon Tuesday would be fine too.

4) S-sorry, Grey. I didn’t mean to upset you.

Doug was pretty cool! I think that was the first show where I liked the side characters more than the main character.

5) You know what surprised me? I saw most of The Croods during a sort-of school party for the foals and it wound up being pretty good! Somehow. I mean, from the commercials it looked abyssal! But there was no unnecessary villain wasting screentime and as a result you got to know the characters well and they all had a lot of heart.

image

1) Bon-Bon: It’s just nice to be able to cook what I want. Even things that aren’t candy!

2) Oh yeah. There aren’t that many new Pokemon, but there’s more in this game than any other.

Generally you specialize in two stats to max them out, then put the last few points in a third stat. But which stats depends on the Pokemon, the moves, the ability, and the strategy.

Unless you meant tips on the super training mini-game itself. Though the different soccer icons mean different things, I’ve found the best strategy overall is to fire three or four times, then do a charge shot while your energy (the little colored circle) is building back up.

1) Yeah… If City of Heroes was still around it wouldn’t matter what level either of us were. That was a great hang-out game.

To be honest, it might be easier for you to keep going until you hit around 40 or so and I just switch to my Warrior. If you can, that is. I can still try to catch up, but I’m sort of dividing my time right now.

2) Bon-Bon: Ah-ha. I find that a little hard to swallow.

Bon-Bon: But yes, busy season is over. Just about finished cleaning up the leftover Hearts and Hooves stock. It’s so unpredictable. You stock up heavy on one thing because it sold out early last year, and you wind up with more left over than if you’d got the same amount as before. Meanwhile something that almost never sells explodes and I’m struggling to keep up before February even starts!

1) Thanks! And I love my background! It was made by a filly named Applebloom quite a while ago! She was gone for a while but lately there’s been some suspicious numbers popping up on her tumblr page!

2) Oh it’s a huge game changer! I managed to beat the regular singles battle sequence in the Battle Mansion in one try and almost using only one Pokemon! I like a lot of different Pokemon too. That’s why I wanted to play through the game three times! So I can use different teams!

Yep. Pretty much gone now. I can’t even imagine two feet of snow! I’ve never seen that much!

3) Bon-Bon: Nah. Forcing your eye to stay open while you shove a piece of plastic in there isn’t so bad. It’s when something else gets in there that you want to tear your eyes out. But hey! Glasses that tint in sunlight sound pretty snazzy!

4) Thanks! That’d be great! Bearing in mind we’d probably have to trade like ten times, and then trade back. But I can search around X and find all the version exclusives for you to keep if you want!

Also, if no one told you yet, your Pokemon Safari is Ghost-type. You’ve got Phantump and Shuppet. I can’t tell what your third is because we haven’t been on at the same time.

Edit: Oh, one big thing. Before I start over I want to get my hooves on a Protean Froakie/Frogadier. And that might take a while.

1) Bon-Bon: Well, thank you but they always got in the way.

B: Hate to break this to you, but somepony already tried the whole puppy thing. Doomed to failure from the start, of course. But as far as ludicrous conquest plans go, it wound up being quite threatening. Before it was all over they completely took over Hoofington; and the population there didn’t even know it.

2) Yes. In fact, there’s quite a few ponies that look nearly identical to one another. Strange phenomenon that has something to do with near-perfect genetic match-ups going back to common ancestors.

I was at the royal wedding. But during the attack I spent most of my time running around the streets trying to get ponies to safety. She told me about it after the fact, but Professor Lyra (inactive) was mind-controlled.

Older followers might remember that Professor Lyra was the one that gave Krastos his present home in Ponyville, after she moved to Canterlot.

1) Sorry. Force of habit; what with Bon-Bon’s hyphen.

But no, seriously. Who looks at their newborn and says “Oh what a sexy baby. We should give him a name to accent his sexiness.”

That’s like, awful, unfortunate, and creepy all at once.

2) Bon-Bon: Hello, dear.

3) Pretty wild. I mean, when you hear somepony go by the title “super duper party pony” you just think, “Yeah right, dude.” But that colt has got some connections to pull off the craziness he does. That birth-iversary was jumpin’ on into the sunrise. I don’t know that Princess Cadance’s wedding had as much going on. And that had a sizable budget!

Mad props to both Cheese and Pinkie.

asklyra did you know that bonbon used to be a nerd

did you know this.

Lyra: Used to be?

Bon-Bon: Uh huh huh huh huh. I wear contacts now, big whoop.

Lyra: Not sure where you got this, but the three of us were talking and I know the Lyra that’s in that picture behind Bon-Bon. We even hung out for a bit during Rainbow Dash’s Birth-iversary!

As an aside, ponies look at you funny when you’re standing next to somepony that looks just like you.

1) Bon-Bon: I have… space issues. How about you not do that anymore? For me.

2) That’s great! I knew it had to be possible, but my futile efforts amounted to little more than smashing my face against a wall.

3) I think I saw somepony else reply to one, but I don’t know if they got as many as I did.

4) Two of the names are even the same! Check the post again if you didn’t notice.

5) I found it here where you can buy a print, if you want!

6) Senior year was a very strange year.

7) Well, if we knew ahead of time, we’d do something to help them, right? It does no good to blame ourselves.

1) I don’t remember the exact time. I want to say somewhere around 50 hours, but I spent a lot of time in the Poke Studios (which was a total waste, avoid that crap, Lemonade and Lava Cookies aren’t worth that crap) and sometimes I’d leave the game on for an hour while I look something up.

I’m currently at 80 hours. I’m at area 6 of Black Tower. All I have left to do is beat that, link with a friend that has White 2 to unlock access to the last two legendaries I’m missing, and beat Whitetail Woods.

Nice post-game in this sucker, though. About as long as the core game.

2) Never have I met a mare with such a strong desire to cringe in discomfort.

I wasn’t the one to sing that.

3) Lyra: Well?

Bon-Bon: Use your magic, you nitwit.

4) Uh… Well, I started with Gen 1. Gen 2 was alright. But I never played Gens 3 or 4. You didn’t ask, but I’ve liked Gen 5 well enough. And I’m expecting to enjoy Gen 6 as well, when I get to it.

But to me, part of my enjoyment in Pokemon is being able to use specific Pokemon that I like.

5) Lyra: Uh huh huh huh. That’d be funny if I ever got to eat any.

Bon-Bon: Work food is for work.

1) Woah woah woah. Slow down there Jane Row. I’m not that smart. Let me bust out dictionary.com.

“Well wishes, evil-doer or criminals! I am attempting to put to use wrongly the collection of formulas for the preparation of affordable articles of food. Who will join me!?”

… Are you trying to sell drugs for food?

2) Sure, Strawberry. Want to answer a question or two with me?

3) Lyra: Seems amazing? It’s definitely showing age, but that game was the hottest of the hot for its time.

Lyra: And clearly I would be the keen-eyed spotter to Bon-Bon’s quick-hooved digger.

Bon-Bon: Alright, sure.

Lyra: Really?

Bon-Bon: Lyra. Once again, I have no idea what you’re talking about. I don’t play video games.

4) I’m not sure what implications are even attempting to be made by that statement.

5) Well, you just went completely out of your way to insure no pony could do the whole “lol! you can’t read cupcakes!” joke. Spoiled sport.

No. I actively avoid anything related to it.

image
1) I don’t know. All those closing parenthesis are making me uncomfortable.

2) My what?

3) Lyra: Oh what the [omitted]! She gets the normal question and I get another head-canoned, meme-laden-!

Bon-Bon: I make candy! I’m a Candy Mare! You know! Who can take the sunri~se! Sprinkle it with de~w! That sort of thing!

4) Oh-Eighth Em Ess Team sounds right. Heero was kind of boring as a central focus. He wasn’t an awful character, but I’d have liked it better if any of the others had more screen time than him (preferably Duo).

I liked a lot of the old Zeon models. Zaku II, Gelgoog, Dom, Efreet. But my favorite in Wing were the OZ’s Virgos. Those things were vicious!

5) Nah.

image

1) Well, I’ve always liked green for what should seem like obvious reasons. My two favorite characters to play in City of Heroes were villains (Fire/Dark Brute and Electric/Force Controller), which was also known as “red-side”. And my first Pokemon game was Pokemon Blue.

2) Lyra: A full-time job. Which I think is the same as last year.

Bon-Bon: I don’t know. This heavy workload half the year is starting to wear on me. Maybe I’ll see about expanding my business a little to afford hiring an assistant.

3) It’s okay! I didn’t see it as being disrespectful or anything! It’s always nice to hear from you!

4) Bon-Bon: Why thank you for asking! Here at Sweetie Drops you can indulge yourself in all the sweetest, most delectable candies you can imagine. From the richest or creamiest chocolates, to the most mouth-watering fruit-flavors known to moral tongue! We’ve got everything from peanut brittle to real liquorice! Sugar treats! Cinnamon treats! Mint, gum, taffy, and caramel! Ingredients are hoof-picked and locally grown (when possible)!

Bon-Bon: On a budget? Not a problem! We stock all the major manufactured candy! But take just a few seconds to try a sample test and you might be surprised at how a little difference in price can equal a huge boost in flavor!

Bon-Bon: Where is this magical place you ask? Narnia? Why, just trot right up to town hall and turn to your right! We’re the first door to the left! So why shop anywhere else for your confectionery needs?

Bon-Bon: Sweetie Drops! Sweet to the last drop!
