Allow me to explain
No, it wasn’t a joke. I really don’t like the Beatles.
I understand their significance in musical history as well as anypony else, but I’ve only heard three or four songs from them that I could actually stand listening to. And one of them was I am the Walrus, which is like somepony saying they like Queen because of Bohemian Rhapsody.
Now, the severity of the comment on the other hand was in direct response to Twilight’s attitude. I knew that comment would shove so far down her craw she’d be choking up insect thorax. I don’t believe I was wrong.
None of that has any bearing on my feelings for any of the band members or their extraordinary talent.
