What was that? Not only permission to gush but an outright request? WELL! HOW CAN I SAY NO TO THAT!?

Infernape will be my Physical Sweeper. His spread is Attack/Speed. He was breed with his Hidden Ability, Iron Fist, and one of his egg moves, Thunder Punch. Eventually his move list will be Flare Blitz, Close Combat, Thunder Punch, and U-Turn. With this combination, there are only two Pokemon he can’t hit for at least regular damage.

U-Turn can allow him to switch out from the negative effects of his two STAB abilities, also striking Psychic super effectively while avoiding repercussion.

While his speed is only pretty good, under favorable conditions he’ll be able to move before all but two Water-Types (allowing him to use his Iron Fist Thunder Punch effectively, provided the target is already hurt or not very sturdy). Thunder Punch can also be used against Flying-Types, which would normally cause trouble for Fighting-Types.

Greninja will be my Special Sweeper. His spread is Special/Speed. He was breed with his Hidden Ability, Protean. Eventually his move list will be Surf, Ice Beam, Dark Pulse, and U-Turn. Being that his U-Turn is mostly a means of dealing damage while escaping, his coverage is less impressive. However, he is substantially faster, and fills the void left by Infernape against Pokemon with high Defense, but lower Special Defense. He will likely be my Life Orb user, over Infernape.

Protean allows Greninja to turn into the Type of his attack, giving him STAB on every hit.

His U-Turn is mostly a means of escape, but if used against Dark, Grass, or Psychic it can still be effective.

Golurk will be Bulk Coverage. Its spread is Health/Defense. It was breed with the ability Iron Fist, and two egg moves, Fire Punch and Drain Punch. Eventually its move list will be Earthquake, Shadow Punch, Fire Punch, and Drain Punch. With this combination its coverage is perfect; it can hit any Pokemon for least normal damage. Its item is the Assault Vest.

On Golurk, Iron Fist is put to much greater use than on Infernape. Fire and Drain Punch both gain its bonus, Earthquake gains STAB, and Shadow Punch gains both.

Its purpose as bulk coverage is to be a complete pain the the rump. It will survive things it really shouldn’t and its retaliation will never be minor. Shadow Punch will give it priority and Drain Punch can allow it to heal.

Amphros will be Special Bulk. Her spread is Health/Special. It was breed with the ability Static, but when Mega Evolved will become Mold Breaker. Eventually its move list will be Volt Switch, Dragon Pulse, Thunder Wave, and Confuse Ray. While her coverage isn’t as impressive as Golurk, her offensive prowess is considerably greater. Her item will be Ampharosite.

Though a powerful move with her STAB, Volt Switch is largely for defensive purposes. Allowing her to take a hit, retaliate, and then switch in an ally safely.

Confuse Ray and Thunder Wave will potentially boost her longevity.

Clefable will be my Anti-Booster Wall/Boost Sweeper. Her spread is Health, and a split favoring Special Defense over Defense. She was breed with her Hidden Ability, which will eventually become Unaware. Eventually her move list will be Cosmic Power, Stored Power, Moonlight, and then either Minimize or Moonblast. With Stored Power alone, her coverage is abysmal; anything with the Dark-Type would be invincible against her. Her item will be either Bright Powder or Rocky Helmet.

The key here is her ability. Unaware will negate all damage boosting from enemy Sweepers, and all survival boosting from opposing Walls. Unless dispatched very quickly (likely requiring a rare super effective hit, given her typing) she can rapidly become an insurmountable wall.

Cosmic Power and Minimize not only boost her survivability against nearly all attacks, they also boost the strength of Stored Power by 40 with each use, up to 380!

Alternately, Moonblast would allow her to not only hit Dark-Types, but do so super effectively. But then she would lose the substantial boost both defensively and offensively from Minimize.

This Celebi is not for competitive use. Its spread is Health/Attack. Its only available ability is Natural Cure. Eventually its move list will be Hold Back, Recover, Thunder Wave, and Heal Block. Hold Back does no damage to Ghost-Types, but otherwise coverage is irrelevant. Its item will probably be Silk Scarf, just to boost the damage of Hold Back.

Its purpose is to weaken Pokemon to be caught and survive the process. That’s it. In competitive play I would replace this Celebi with one of my other Pokemon, possibly one that can fill a supportive role like a retrained Celebi, Mew, or Miltank.

Notably, this set is missing any field damaging effects, field clearing effects, forced switch moves, or damage-over-time moves. Also of note, if you used this team (even with Celebi replaced) in an official competition, you would likely be destroyed.
