"The Closer" refers to a specific subset of lawyers dedicated to working out either plea bargains between a DA's office and a defendant or working out business buyouts. They're often referred to a "closers." Incidentally, the new Equestria Network show "Saddles" is about business-oriented closers.

Also, question: if ponies watch TV, why haven't they shown any TVs in the show? Is the show actually an Equestrian equivalent of a sitcom?

Ugh… meta powers kickin’ in fierce this time.

Meta powers says it read an official MLP tumbler that says we don’t have television, or any entertainment machine beyond a radio or a vinyl player. Computers are supposed to be those huge, honking, room-sized monstrosities, and electricity is supposed to either be generated by lightening or magic.

With that in mind. I shouldn’t even have a computer, I mean, Bon-bon and I aren’t exactly poor, but we certainly aren’t saving up much right now. Only way we could afford DVRs and computers would be if they were at regular, house-hold prices.

I think what meta powers is driving at is, we have access to whatever can make a decent punchline. A lot of nonsense, but there you go.
