3) It doesn’t matter. Removing something offensive might make a few ponies feel better, but doesn’t change anypony’s mind on the subject. Worst case, it’s used as a martyr to carry on the ignorant and completely mangled notions of “free speech.”
At the very least, with Equestria not having freedom of speech, there’s no misunderstood representation of it.
