6) Things are certainly capable of getting better. Absolutely. I don’t believe overt bigotry is the real issue, though (which I mentioned here). The option to choose one over another is where it all starts, but you can’t eliminate that without eliminating free will. I’m not sure what the answer is, though. Every method I’ve ever heard of has been tried for hundreds of years with little advancement. From where I sit, that’s not an issue with the society but with the avenues of change.
