5, 6 & 7) So you’re just minding your own business walking through a forest when suddenly you’re attacked by a lion. No idea why this lion is in a forest, but it was, and it’s now clawing the ever-loving crap out of you. You somehow manage to fight the lion off of you and it runs away.

You get up and start moving again, hoping to put some distance between you and the lion before it decides to come back. You hear a noise, turn your head, and notice another lion walking up next to you and she says, “Hey! I saw what happened back there and I just wanted to take a moment of your time and explain the motive behind why you were attacked.”

You’re pretty badly hurt and this lion is making you uncomfortable considering what just transpired, “No, that’s alright. I’d just like to get to safety now. Thanks.”

The lion is persistent, “Oh yeah! I hear you! I just wanted to give you the lion’s side of the story. You know, give you some background on why that attack happened. You’ve got a minute, right?”

“No, thank you. I’m kind of in a hurry. You know, predictors tend to come back and finish the job they’ve started. And, you know, it doesn’t really take a surgeon to piece together what the lion had to gain from attacking me. So I’d really just like to get away from where I am presently.”

Add in two or three more escalating exchanges and a few more predatory animals walking around you, calling you racist for not listening to the lion’s story and you’ll be where we are presently.
