And because it took such a ridiculous amount of time to update that with no excuse, here’s an alternate update. This one is under the assumption things went much differently then they have so far and you’re controlling “Amy” in the same situation.
You shrug off the thought about the shadow giant and the temperature, who cares? It’s just nice to not be freezing for once! You take off your ingeniously crafted blanket-cloak and stuff it into your saddlebag.
That fog is making it humid in here; not good to have your wings wet. You pull your blanket-cloak back out and use it as a buffer to help close the door quietly, which you accomplish easily and without a sound. Back into the saddlebag your blanket-cloak goes.
You take another look above you and wonder if it would be worth flying to the second floor to lie in wait for the shadow ponies you saw slip around the corner. You’ll remember to try that if you inadvertently alert them.
Careful not to disturb the fog, you drop down low and crawl silently behind the possible enemy. You stop at the corner and first look down the hall facing you. It sort of circles around to the left and you can see open doorways. Even from this angle you can tell the other side does the same. They probably circle around and meet up together. Layout sort of reminds you of a school building. If true, that means ambushes could come from anywhere in this place. Lot of doors, lot of halls, lot of rooms.
You sneak a glance around the corner, where you hear hushed, familiar voices.
…
Looks like your friends. That’s a relief!
