Actually, I am a fairly experienced writer. I’m a little rusty, but I’ve been doing it on and off for years. I even presented once at a writer’s conference and my piece was generally accepted as being one of the two best ones. And the author of my favorite (he wrote a faux-nonfiction story from his perspective about an event when he was a baby. The thought process he portrayed-It was amazing.) said he thought mine was the best.

The trouble is, being an author is risky. It’s up there with panning for gold on the list of unreliable income jobs. I’m absolutely terrified.

You’re right, though. First major project I had was a Sonic the Hedgehog fanfiction. It… had it’s moments. But in the end it had bugger all to do with Sonic.
