You stand before a gate near the top of a mountain. You aren’t a hundred percent on why you’re up here; it’s kinda cold!

The gate blocks direct passage forward into either a cave or some kind of building, not sure which. The gate is locked, but you have the key; it was sent with you.

Back down the mountain is the town in which you live. You’ve always lived there, but you’ve vacationed elsewhere a few times. You think about where all you’ve gone for a few moments, but quickly realize that it’s not really relevant right now.

You were told to climb this here mountain, and climb it you did. You didn’t understand at the time why you were sent with a key, but now you do.

As an aside, you only have some basic supplies. A saddlebag with some bread and two juice boxes along with a one of those nifty multitool knives. You know the ones. Knife, scissors, hoof file, that sort of thing.
