Why does everyone seem to instantly trust this Wishing Stone? It claims that it won't grant any wishes that have negative effects, and yet it grants Basil, an emotionally driven, impulsive dragon who is being consumed by his most basic desires the most dangerous form of escapism that could possibly exist, thusly allowing him to act on instinct without caring about the consequences of his actions, forsaking control in the name of indulgence. Honestly, that seems pretty bad.
It’s not really any of my business.
However, at first I only saw one of three possibilities. But last night I thought of a rather hilarious forth.
You know what happens when you activate debug mode in a video game and you can just do whatever-the-hay you want with whatever consequences you feel like having? You lose the structure and balance that intelligent, outside design had once put into place. When that happens, you eventually just get bored of it.
