Random isn’t really something a pony can came up with on their own. Anything you might say that you’d believe to be random, is just pulled from a weighted, internal list of stock concepts. You’d need some form of aid, like flash cards to write on, to introduce a method of randomizing things. Even then, the result would just be a choice based upon your input, which words on the cards. It would only be a random pull from the sample.

Blow the whole thing up to a scale large enough to have every single word on a separate flash card, and things get really confusing.

Mysterious, on the other hand, is subjective. I suppose it could be mysterious from your perspective.
