Well, my talent is playing one of the thingies with strings! There’s a whole lot of different types of string insturments.
The one I play is called the lyre!
The survey, i had fun working on it. I noticed that some of the ponies were incredibly cruel over rather harmless things. (i believe Typewryter crippled the assailant permanently... over a single cupcake.).
I thought it would probably help others get some perspective as to just how far you really have to go. I really don't know if anyone did, but i certainly learned a lot about everyone here.

I've always wondered... do you record your covers (which are amazing, by the way) with actual instruments, or do you use digital instruments in a program like Garageband?

Meta powers and I have conflicting answers…
I play these things on a lyre or my sitar in the unused room in our house. It’s not the best set up, because I can’t, for example, listen to what I’ve got while recording for an overlay or it’ll feedback into the mic while I’m playing.
But meta powers will argue that I use some computer program. But I only use Audacity for minor tweaks to volume.

Well! I give up! I can’t even get the most rudimentary stuff to sync up! I have about two and a half minutes of bassline and there’s glaring time errors in the pauses when I try to overlay the lead, and I just give up! I’m gonna go have a few drinks, look up a new piece and start on something else in the morning.

The changes I’m making are to keep it accurate to how the song sounds, which is not how the sheet music sounds. I’m sure if I had the official sheet music this would be a piece of cake. As is, I’m going off some midi sheet music that, as near as I can tell, doesn’t even sync up with the actual midi its posted with!
But no… It’s not going to be great. Hopefully it’ll still be okay.
