Blossomforth: Lyra? What’s going on?

Lyra: Well look who decided to wake up! I bet you had a real long night last night!

Blossomforth: I didn’t invite you inside.

Lyra: Cut the crap! I didn’t tell Twilight yet, but I know what you’ve done!

Blossomforth: You… you were spying on me?

Lyra: You bet your flank I was! How could you?!

Blossomforth: I-I didn’t think it was that big of a deal! It’s just a show!

Lyra: Just a-… What?

Blossomforth: And I thought you liked My Little Human.

Lyra: Don’t play dumb with me! I saw you fly out of Twilight’s Castle! You’ve been going to the human world!

Blossomforth: WHAT!? No! Never! I hated that place! Everything moves too fast and it’s so loud and I can’t fly and last time I was there a filly got hurt and the other two ran off and they were my responsibility and I couldn’t find either of-!

Lyra: Wait a minute. Wait a minute! You seriously haven’t been going to the human world? I saw a pegasus fly out of the castle late last night.

Blossomforth: So I’m suddenly the only pegasus in Ponyville?!

Lyra: You’re the only pegasus that knows about it! Except Rainbow Dash. And Fluttershy. Okay, I might not know everypony that knows about it. Maybe I jumped the hurdle here.

Blossomforth: MAYBE?! I’m about to have a panic attack!

Lyra: Alright I’m sorry! I just didn’t want you to get in trouble if I could talk you out of it! Just- Don’t tell anypony about this! Twilight is trying to catch whoever is responsible before they can do anything rash.

Blossomforth: I don’t even want to remember this! Get out of my house!

[Door Slam] [Pause]

Lyra: Okay. That went well.

Tootsie: [Audible Yawn]

Bon-Bon: When you said you were planning a picnic, this isn’t what I had in mind.

Lyra: Hey! You were the one that said you didn’t like me going out late by myself. Now I’m not alone!

Bon-Bon: Tootsie, let’s go home.

Tootsie: No. I… [Audiable Yawn] I wanna catch the badguy too.

Lyra: You hear that? So heroic and brave! And not covert and secret-keeping…

Bon-Bon: Okay fine! I’m the crazy pony here!

Lyra: As long as you know!

Bon-Bon: This is so stupid… If somepony’s breaking into the castle, they aren’t going to be so easy to find. Are you expecting them to just walk out the front-… Lyra. Lyra! Up! Up! The window!

Lyra: Holy crap! That’s not Twilight!

Tootsie: Oh my gosh! That’s them!

Lyra: Shh! Quiet! Twilight doesn’t want them to know we know anything!

Bon-Bon: So what do we do?

Lyra: I’m… I’m trying to make out who it is.

Bon-Bon: They’re already flying away.

Lyra: Shoot! But we know it’s a pegasus. Which gives me a pretty good idea of who it might be…

1) While I’ve played Shadowrun Returns, I don’t really know much about the P&P game. I assume a lot of the choices were made for optimization reasons.

I’m not really that agile, though. And begging your pardon, but I am always very logical.

2) I know basically nothing about Mad Max, but I’m glad you liked it! Also, this Imperator seems to have some delayed motivational issues.

3) No kidding. As if there isn’t enough going on at any given time. Those yaks were furious when they got their tickets. And they didn’t even have to pay for them!

But Pinkie Pie must have done something Pinkie Pie-ish, because everything seems alright now. So if you’ll excuse me, there’s a party going on outside and I think I see a ball bouncing around!

Reluctant to leave the warmth of the bedroll, Trailblazer decides against it for the time being. Instead, she gives Crystal Charm a little kiss and nuzzles her neck sleepily.

Crystal Charm gently squeezes Trailblazer with all four legs in response.

Crystal Charm: “Are you awake, or just having a nice dream?”

Trailblazer: “M'awake.”

Crystal Charm: “Aw, you’re such a cutie. Ready to get up and head back to town?”

Trailblazer: “Mmh… five more minutes.”

Crystal Charm: “Heheh… alright, then.”

Crystal Charm continues to hug her friend closely as she rests for a while longer.

Not that this is a particularly important part of the story or anything. I just love this picture!

Well, I loved 3. Then Sonic Adventure was really cool. Then Sonic Adventure 2 was alright. The Sonic Advance series was okay. Then Sonic Heroes was horrid. Shadow the Hedgehog had an interesting concept, but ultimately the various mechanics didn’t function together and resulted in a lousy, clunky game. I never played another one.

But I always loved the characters! I loved Amy, and Tails, and Cream. And Big! Tikal and Chaos! And Rogue was awesome! Which is why I look at things like Sonic Generations and Sonic Boom and shake my head.

And that’s the problem. Different people like different things about Sonic. I liked the incorporation of different play-styles and storylines. Different perspectives and different characters. I don’t want to play as just Sonic, and I don’t want the characters rewrote into caricatures.

I don’t really pay attention to the series anymore. It’s lost all direction. But once upon a time… I mean I still have 75 pages, at size 10 font, of an unfinished fanfic that I ran as a game for years.

Hey, wanna see something I’ve never shown anyone before? I made a few of these, but I never got around to finalizing/using them. This was the best one.

Lyra: Yeah. That’s definitely turned on.

Spike: The portal to the human world was like this when we got back from Canterlot. You really don’t know anything about it?

Lyra: No. I don’t have a reason to go back to that world again. I got everything I needed the first time.

Spike: This is really bad… If Twilight finds out-

Twilight: Finds out what?

Spike: Twilight! I-I-

Twilight: I already know everything, Spike.

Spike: You… do?

Twilight: Even with the map, I still consider this portal the most valuable and dangerous object in the castle. You think I don’t check on it several times a day?

Spike: But… why didn’t you say anything?

Twilight: You were solving a problem, so I let you take care of it. And you did a good job, Spike. At least until this happened. Speaking of which… Lyra, did this little lie lead to a greater truth too?

Lyra: Hey, I don’t know anything about this!

Twilight: I’d like to believe that, but you already tried going behind my back once. Regardless, this is a major security risk. There’s no telling who went in there, what they’re doing, or what they might bring back.

Lyra: So close the portal. Risk gone.

Twilight: I can’t! If whoever passed through the portal is still in there, they’ll be trapped! And if they become desperate… Ooh… I wish I’d dismantled that machine the moment I got back!

Spike: What do we do now?

Lyra: Go in after them?

Twilight: No… If something bad happens, Sunset Shimmer will contact me. I can’t let whoever went in there know that we know. We’re going to have to wait this one out, Spike. Lyra, I want to trust you. Whoever is doing this could be coming and going daily. If you find out anything, please let me know.

Lyra: Yeah, sure.

Lyra: Well hey there, Spike!

Spike: Lyra? Uh… Is Bon-Bon here?

Lyra: Yeah, you need her?

Spike: N-no, I… Is Tootsie Flute here?

Lyra: Yes, Spike. The gang is all here. What’s up?

Spike: Um… Can you come with me? I think I need to show you something.

Lyra: You think you need to show me something?

Bon-Bon: We have, yes. We don’t talk much, though. B is one of Lyra’s friends. I think.

Bon-Bon: [Sigh] B is very strange. He does… something… When you look at him, you see a pony. It doesn’t look remarkable. Nothing about it stands out. And when you look away, you won’t remember what the pony looked like. 

Bon-Bon: I’ve tested it before. I’ve wrote down a characteristic about him, like “long mane”, then held it up next to him. And periodically it’ll make sense. But then it… won’t? I’ve even tried writing down something while looking at him, but I could never even finish a word before I disagreed with what I was writing. Same thing with his voice.

Bon-Bon: He’s very serious. Not that he looks very serious, but…

Bon-Bon: I don’t really like him. I’ve tried to talk to him, but he’s just this… intimidating… thing… I don’t think anypony should have the kind of power he has. I don’t even like him being in the house. But let’s face it, there’s nothing I could do to stop him. At least this way I can see him. Sometimes… Even if I don’t know what I’m looking at…

I’m not trying to dissuade people from sending me messages. I love getting messages! I love getting messages from people I’ve never or rarely spoken with. I love getting messages from people I talk to a lot too! It’s all cool!

I’m just saying… think for a minute. This tumblr will be four years old next month. You have to realize I’ve gotten nearly this exact same message two dozen times by now. I’m not trying to call you out here, but I-I don’t know how to respond to it anymore!

I’m not saying you should know everything I’ve ever been asked. That number is in the tens of thousands. I don’t even remember all of them. But I can pretty safely assure you that if it’s a meme about me I am aware of it, and have been asked about it before. Probably more than once.

I know it can be intimidating to think of something to ask. I still send asks occasionally myself! If you’re having trouble thinking of something, look back through some of my posts and reply directly to something I’ve said. You don’t even have to agree with it! Feel free to challenge me on something!

Directly addressing your question: Half of Ponyville knows I talk to humans on the computer. For the last two years I’ve been asking ponies to guest answer for April Fools. Half of them don’t believe I’m really able to talk to humans, but that still leaves a pretty good number that do. Twilight Sparkle herself has been to a human world. I’m positive from my research that it’s not the human world, but it has humans of some kind in it.

Anyway, thanks for the ask! I’ve seen you around tumblr more than a few times!

Okay, so I don’t normally do this, but…

Garnet said “You need a gem at the core of your being. Then you need a body that can turn into light. Then you need a partner whom you trust with that light. Literally.“ So Greg couldn’t fuse.

But Steven and Connie can fuse. Connie doesn’t have a gem, and she can’t turn into light. So… How?

When Steven shrugged off gem destabilization, it was because he’s part human. The human aspect of him keeps his body whole. That made sense. He may not even be able to retreat into gem form. With how fragile the other gems treat him, they certainly make no indication that they expect him to be able to.

But how can being part human let him to turn someone else into light? How can the same aspect that protects him from destabilization allow him to turn into light at all?

1) Bon-Bon: Fine! Everything is fine! Why wouldn’t it be?

Lyra: I think the state of Michigan is winking about something else.

Bon-Bon: Oh. Nevermind then.

Lyra: I’m flirty, okay? It’s just my nature! That doesn’t mean anything!

2) Why sure! Anything for you! While I’m at it, how about I put on some papier-mâché wings and sing a song about trying hard and never giving up?

3) Google is giving me a lot of hits back. So I know this is a thing. Not really sure what to say in reply, though. I mean, I couldn’t think of anything. So I’m willing to admit I wasn’t very smart.
