i dont only mean the quantity, but also the quality of your following. you seem to, for the most part, have some of the most friendly followers ive seen since i started my tumblr. it gives me hope.

You know, I can’t quite explain that.

They are great followers, though. I’ll grant you that ten-fold.

Well i mostly invent for fun spells now. Back in the old days I worked for the army, and had to make many spells that would be considered banned and forbidden. Today I made a golem of sorts. I gave it a water body, with a fire core.

How would that even work? Wouldn’t the body destroy the core?

*snerk* There are many puzzle games, true. Portal is one of my favorite from the genre because of the fact that you can get trough the game on so many ways, that designers didn't think of it. either by exploiting it's glitches or just run trough the map in some really weird way. But I digress. On the other hand; I hear that the Pony revolution is awesome. I don't have the money to buy it yet, tho. Also; Hard Reset is a decent game as well. I don't know, if I could get into Rage, tho.

The point of this conversation, at least from my perspective, is to point to the underlying puzzle-ness that all games possess.

Games like Portal are just more heavily structured in precision and ~~clairvoyance~~ problem solving while something like Timesplitters is more involved in timing and accuracy. In the end, it’s still a matter of hitting that button, moving that way, and doing the thing.

I’m not really that concerned with the number of followers I have. I’ve stayed pretty consistently around five sixty-five for the last week or so. I just hope the ponies that follow my page are at least entertained!

A little better now. What happened to you? You just feel down on the floor a few minutes ago. I put you on the bed, if you’re disoriented.

Krastos said he is also up for it, so I am extremely excited already. How about around 7 PM on Monday for the show, then dinner? That will give me time to find tickets, get reservations and such.

Ah, yes. Fire 'n' ice. I can't say that I've played that game. HOWEVER, I've played it's predecessor; Solomon's key. But as far as I was looking, it's practically the same game. I love that game; I'll have to look it up on the ponynet again. But as far as other two games, they are too simple for my um... Taste. I prefer something far more complex. But regarding the RPG and RTS, I understand. And with that, I have to depart, since it's my nap time. I hope I can talk with you later.

It’s not a matter of simple/complex. It’s a matter of multiple factors leading to multiple answers. You don’t have to put the thing here to open the door, to clear the line-of-sight, so you can hit the button to launch the projectile to activate the whatever and advance to the next room and do exactly what the designers intended for the one answer to be. (Not to insult the genre, that’s just my perspective.)

That’s why I favor action over pure puzzle, and why Deus Ex: Pony Revolution was such an incredible game.
