“Gilda really is pretty nice.” Thank You! Why Does No One Every Believe Me When I Say This?

1) He’s trying.

2) No.

3) It’s alright, Strawberry. Can’t expect you to keep track of everything.

4) Ponies only know ponies. And for that matter they only think they know ponies. Like how a filly might say “I like all music except rap and country.”

[Sigh]

1) Can we just forgo the idiotic questions for a few days, please? I don’t know what you’re talking about and I don’t care.

2) A few, yeah. That’s why I can be friends with her. Gilda really is pretty nice.

3) Curious about what? I mostly kept my head down when I could.

4) I doubt it, Strawberry. He was my best friend in high school.

I felt sorry for that one pony who was on the verge of crying while singing, though. Even though their singing and song selection were… different… They still tried to give it their all, even though they were only getting boos.

1) Might just be burnt out for the moment. I’ll give you an example; Red Vs. Blue. Last season I watched the first four episodes and then just stopped. New episodes would come out and I’d just skip it. Eventually when the season ended, I sat down and watched the fifth episode. Then the sixth, seventh, all the way through to the end of the season in one sitting. It was incredible! But at the time they were coming out, I wasn’t too concerned.

I think what it comes down to is, it’s possible to enjoy a number of things, but we skip most of it because we don’t have the time. More so when it’s there to view whenever we feel like it.

I’m sure there’s dozens of television shows or games I’d be hooked to if I watched/played them. Whenever you have some time, you can sit down and try watching an episode or two. Doesn’t have to be today, doesn’t have to be tomorrow.

2) I don’t think there’s going to be much fun for the next few days.

3) He was, yes, to an extent. I’d have spent much more time with him but his wife hated me.

4) Thank you, but there’s not really anything to do.

5) It’s pretty disrespectful to boo somepony anyway. Having to see her get crushed so bad probably didn’t help my feelings on the evening.

But at the same rate, are you really going to get up on stage with a bunch of drunk ponies and sing if you know you can’t carry a tune? Sure as hay wouldn’t see up there; I know better.

Well… Hopefully it was a life lesson about being prepared before you attempt something.

1) That was the event that was the precursor to your America going to war, right?

I don’t think so.

2 & 3) Latest… what? Episode of what?

Not really into arcade games, anyway.

4) Not that I’m ordinarily in the mood for your stupid, but especially not today.

I found out when I got home last night that a friend of mine died. The funeral is scheduled on the 14th; Hearts and Hooves Day. Who does that? Schedules a funeral on a holiday?

5) I had planned to spend the weekend with Boscov. I think I really need to now.

6) Probably a dog.

7) Yeah…

8) You see this post? You see number three? Number three isn’t for you. [Omitted] off you worthless [omitted]-stuffing pile of pig [omitted].

9) It wasn’t very good. Going there was a terrible idea. The performances all sucked and the food wasn’t very good either.

Not every date is going to be perfect, though. I guess. I don’t know.

20 plays

A short request. Doesn’t sound anything like the original, but not bad!

Two cycles, plus outro.

I don’t...

I don’t think we’re even in the same dimension or universe or whatever you want to call it. The ponynet is strange.

I suppose one could call this a gift for you, Miss Lyra. I just mainly just having fun. And your tail is strangely fun to draw.

Hmhmm.

But this is very nice! Thanks a lot!

And who knows? I’ve seen some ponies I knew on here change in my world. Maybe we’ll be in the same world at some point? Maybe we already are?

1) I’m glad you asked about my opinion on sunshine and daffodils. I happen to enjoy them both dearly and love to spend time outside with them both! The sun provides warmth, and while toxic to most animals, daffodils are a delicious staple of pony diet! And of course, daffodils need sunshine to grow!

2) Well, yes and no. Princess Celestia is certainly a god to us, but that doesn’t make her our creator. Even after all this time we still have no idea where our species came from.

3) I don’t know what anthro fanart you’re looking at, but Boscov has paws.

That works for me, it sounds like fun.

1) Learn how to do a show trade to at least an amateur level. That way if you’re ever in trouble financially, you can at least ask friends to help you out in exchange for using said trade to their favor.

What I wouldn’t give to be able to draw or perform at a level somepony would be willing to pay even a bit for.

2) I’m dovahkiin and so can you! (Little mature)

3) Not bad so far, anyway. Everypony that’s tried to sing, though… Not that I’m one to talk about singing ability but their music selection is just awful.

1) Boscov is my affair. My one true love will always be the fascinating, heart-racing sport of Ultimate Frisbee.

2) Ever been to that entertainment bar? I think Friday is amateur night. Should be good for a laugh if nothing else. Unless you had something else in mind.

3) With great power comes great responsibility.

And let me tell you, responsibility sucks.

4) Uh… Hmm…

Best you can do is accept them on bro terms and make it clear that’s what you’re doing. Things might not work out, but there’s really nothing else you can do. If they can’t accept that, they wanted something in return and weren’t really bros.

I don’t think I agree. The picture going with everything, I mean. I agree with your tags, though. I kind of wonder why you like Twilight and Scooc so much, you seem way, way nicer and better than either of them. /latenightconfessions

1) I’ve gotten used to the idea at this point. She seems nice, and she drew a picture!

2) Uh huh… Those are kinda… older lessons…

How old are you again?

3) You don’t really choose who your friends are. They’re just the ones that put up with your bull [omitted]. You or Strawberry or Mister Cake or E put up with me just as well as Scooc or Twilight or Gilda.

And you do have to remember that at the end of the day, I’m from the streets. I act nice and polite because I can; I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing anything in doing so. That doesn’t mean I can’t be just as crass and crude as the next pony.

What you’re noticing right now is something that was a lot easier to do back in my school days. I don’t just hang out with a specific clique, I hang out with whoever. But the various groups I hung out with would rarely meet and did not get along. On here, I can’t divide myself like that.

But my main thing is appropriateness. Is it appropriate for the situation?

For example, this is the funniest Celestia [omitted] thing I’ve seen all week! But I wouldn’t directly post the image because there’s strong language, even if it’s used in comedy.

CYOA #69

image

Once you manage to shake the notion of a shotgun wedding, you turn around and run as fast as your little pony legs can carry you! Looking back you see exactly what you expected to see; even your fastest can’t outpace the grand stride of the giant’s booming hooffalls.

Having no idea where to turn with it gaining, you make for the awning and pass through back into the dark tunnel. Corridor. Whatever!

You travel partway into the darkness before turning around and hearing pounding on the stone walls. But oddly enough, that’s all you hear. No crashing of stone, no cave in; just a dull pounding.

Curiosity gets the better of you and you approach the opening back out into the… courtyard? Are we going to call the massive space a courtyard now? Focus!

The giant has its knees bent and is standing under the awning kicking at the doorway you’re on the other side of. But for some reason, its attempts are futile. No matter how many times, or how hard it strikes, it seems incapable of causing any structural damage. Not even a chip!

Looking back out into the courtyard in between swings, you notice that the giant doesn’t leave any hoofprints in the snow either. You cautiously cover your hoof with your blanket and stretch out to touch the shadow, or see if it can touch you.

It certainly can touch you, and the force is much more powerful than you thought. After you pick yourself up off the floor, you note these discoveries in your head. For the moment, though, you’re unable to regroup with your friends, or even find out if they’re alright!

Scooc and Twilight have submitted that this picture goes with everything.

You know what that means.

1) I’ve heard everything from a foal who ran away from home, to being thrown out, to being turned away, to others like me who have no idea who their parents were.

I don’t know what to tell you. I don’t think that problem has a solution.

2) Totes! We’re still going to do something on the 14th, though, right? Something nice and quiet. A picnic maybe?

3) Oops. Hope it wasn’t too much of an emergency. Must have got this message at least five hours ago.

4) Hmm… Dunno. I guess a regular party. You know. Friends, merrymaking. Talking, joking, everypony just having a good time!

Don’t really need to be doing anything in particular, I don’t guess. Maybe sit down and play a game together at some point; maybe toss a ball around.

5) Your words paint such a brilliant tapestry. You’ve truly touched my heart.
