Anonymous asked: Hey there, Lyra! I don't know if this has been asked before, but are you related to Harpo Parish Nandermane?
Should I put that I’m an orphan in my sidebar or something?
I don’t know of any living relatives. I don’t even know of any dead relatives! I assume I had a mother and father, but I have no memory of them what-so-ever.
So the answer to “Are you related to X” is always going to be, “Probably not, but I don’t really know.”
THAT’S
THAT’S NOT WHAT I MEANT AT ALL…
qb you’re breaking my balls
i’ll make a contract with you if you open your mouth to speak
I don’t even get the whole contract thing, but it’s funny!
ask-twilight replied to your post: I’m thinking of breaking up the band.
WHOA THERE, LYRA, DON’T ACT SO DEPRESSED.
Little numb right now. Try again in the morning.
diamondmint asked: I'm thinking of breaking up the band.
I’m sorry to hear that. More sorry that I never played much of a part in it.
Can’t help but feel partially responsible.
diamondmint asked: Hey Lyra, you at home? I have something I would like your opinion on.
Hmm… In a manner of speaking.
What’s up?
letterstoapplebloom replied to your post: Hey Lyra, how you holdin’ up over there?
Well as long as they were safe, it’s all that matters in the end, right?
Was kinda weird. From the outside it doesn’t look like it did any damage. Obviously it did something, but right now there’s just two trees leaning against their roof.
They’re still living inside it, as far as I know.
Anonymous asked: Any memories of Princess Celestia and a cloning machine?
Got some memories of getting this question before.
Sorry, too lazy to find it.
Short version, no.
jmg1234-deactivated20140425 asked: don't lie to me, i've made poeple admit to things they didn't do
I’ve spent most of my life ignoring events that I actually lived through. Sorry, I think I’ve got one up on you this time.
But if you were wondering about what was wrong, this sums it up pretty well.
Anonymous asked: I know that you're probably in a huge funk right now but I want you to know despite how you feel now, you did help her. You had enough love in your heart for her to help her when she needed you, and when the time came to let her make her own choice, to find her own way with her family you allowed her to make the choice that was best for her, even if it hurt you. A true parent will always put their child above themselves. You've proven yourself to be a wonderful mother. You should feel proud.
I’ll let Lyra know she did a good job.
letterstoapplebloom-blog-blog asked: Hey Lyra, how you holdin' up over there? Hopefully the storm didn't do too much damage.
Actually, a tree uprooted itself, fell into another tree, and both trees fell on my next-door-neighbor’s roof.
Turns out taking all the loose branches off of trees only helps so far.
daixxiii-deactivated20111025 asked: I've got three questions for you. (1) What is theblackstrawberry talking about? I'm worried. (2) Are you sick? (3) You mentioned something about foals dissapearing when you were a child. Did you ever find out why?
I was going to take care of Sweetie Belle from now on. In the end, I couldn’t bare the thought of splitting up their family.
I’m fine.
They were kidnapped. No one really bats an eye at an orphan disappearing. From there, any number of nightmarish scenarios.
cranberry-scotch-replies asked: I don't know. That sounded beautiful. Granted I don't know anyone else who plays a lyre to compare to. Anyway, do you use your hooves or magic to strum the strings?
Mostly magic.
If it’s simple I might play with my hooves.
Sometimes I use both, but it’s usually easiest to just use magic.
Edit: Oh, I play with a pick, though. So I always strum with a pick (or two). It just depends on if the pick is floating or if it’s taped to my hoof.
At first the world seems pretty big. But when you climb up high enough and look down, you see how small everything really is.
theblackstrawberry asked: :( im sorry i can't help. the only thing i can really do is stand next to you and keep you safe. i also heard your latest piece <3 i love it so much.
Thanks.
It was nothing, though. I can’t play by ear, but I’ve heard it so much from the ice cream cart every summer that it was pretty easy.
cranberry-scotch-replies asked: I'm actually doing good. How good are you with a lyre?
Terrible.
Judge for yourself. Either use this link or just head to my blog page and check the sidebar.
