I have a couple of buttons. Picking apart someponies mannerisms is one of them.
When I’m listening to somepony, the only thing I’m concerned with is receiving the message they’re trying to convey.
When I, or I imagine anypony, says “I’m sorry” all the time, it means “I wish whatever it is about the current subject that’s troubling you didn’t take place. It’s beyond my ability to do anything about it, and it’s entirely likely that I’m not even involved, but I don’t know what else to say.”
Now, I’m sorry about taking that so seriously, and I’m sorry that ponies who focus on how a thought is conveyed instead of what is being conveyed get on my flippin’ nerves.

I hate it when ponies start speaking in other languages to me, completely aware that I have no idea what they’re saying.
We all have mannerisms that someponies don’t like. Someponies change like the wind to try and please everypony. I don’t.
I say I’m sorry all the time because I’m apologetic. It’s a part of my personality; It’s a part of who I am.
Get over it.

Okay, I get that you’re a robot and all, so probably pretty heavy. But when I say “slapped me across the room”, I mean I lifted up off the ground, flew across the room, slammed into a wall, then fell down and hit the floor. And that was just a twitch reaction.
It was kinda sweet that she was worried for a minute if she had hurt me or not.

Not really. It would make it harder to move any faster than a trot without worrying about smashing them.
But I’ve seen the pictures, so I know what you’re talking about.
