Ask Lyra

Anonymous asked: Do you ever want to return to the ocean?

No more of this! Understand?! NO MORE!

You want to talk to her?! She’s right here! No more excuses for this!

regalli-deactivated20120414 asked: Miss Lyra, can we play the kazoo for music class this year?

I’m all-but-certain that isn’t up to me.

But I would guess not. It’s too simple an instrument and doesn’t really work for most pieces, except in satire.

Anonymous asked: What's it like on land? - ~ask-seapony-lyra

Oh, Celestia… It’s real

How am I supposed to compare land to living under water? I’ve only ever lived on land!

treasurehunterchikorita-blo-blog asked: Congratulations on getting my 777th like! May luck shine upon you! Lucky STAR that is! 8D *throws a magic lucky star at you that does 777 damage*

Good thing I go by post-game Disgaea figures. Seven hundred seventy-seven isn’t even a flash-in-the-pan.

theblackstrawberry asked: I have a scale that's also enchanted, it's a bit big, but the magic on it allows me to gauge 2 different things in terms of value. Sometimes I trade favors instead of items. Write the favor on the piece of paper, and it's measured in value against the value of the item. It's also mostly how I get bits. I trade something they need for a different object they have, and I sell that sometimes. Usually those don't have magic on them.

Uh huh…

Well, whatever works, I guess!

Alright, this is the last one I’m uploading. I don’t care how many more of these are done.
This is just bonkers!
For whatever that means…

theblackstrawberry asked: Well it was just for sale when I talked to the landlord, and there was nothing special. The objects are ones I brought from my old house. I'm an item collector of sorts, but I mostly trade not really accepting things for money. Most of the time I deal with enchanted items infused with magic and/or technology. Most of the time I simply trade these items to creatures that need them the most, and I get an item in return. I don't really know how to use them, mostly trial and error.

How do you gauge an object’s worth if you don’t know what it does?

theblackstrawberry asked: No, it's okay most of the fur kept it from being damaged, it was cold enough to wake me up though, but it will be okay. I'm now on the other side of the mountain, and I can no longer see Ponyville or the forest, or anything. At this moment I'm walking through a tall field. err tall in comparison to a pony not to a cat. I'll still be traveling for a while, like i said, if you need anything, take it from my house, and don't go in the basement cause even i dont know most of the things down there.

Well, that’s good to hear that your hand wasn’t damaged from the cold.

How did you get the house you lived in, and why don’t you know what’s in it?

colorsymphony-deactivated201202 asked: How goes things?

Alright, I suppose.

Finally at least saw a position listed, but it’s hay-and-gone in Appaloosa! It would cost more riding down there and back than the position would even pay!

But I’m glad I actually saw a position listed. Was starting to think some glitch in the system was stopping me from seeing anything.

This Was My 3000th Like!

Woo!

Anonymous asked: i hope you stick around for a long time then.

No promises.

But I see what I can do!

Anonymous asked: i disagree, for the longest time there was a void in my life and i was in despair. a long time ago somebody filled that void and left my life again, creating a bigger hole. you are the only person who fills that void completely.

Well, I guess I’ll see what I can do about sticking around then.

Good night for now, everypony.

Anonymous asked: Honestly I've tried looking for other things, and they don't make me happy. You always brighten my day.

Well, thank you.

I don’t think you would have made it this far if that were completely true. But thank you. It’s nice to hear now and again.

Anonymous asked: You make my life worth living.

We all make our own lives worth living.

I didn’t point you to me; I couldn’t have if I wanted to. Whoever you are, you found me on your own. You sought out something to brighten your day, and I’m flattered you feel I help make that happen. But you didn’t sit in misery. You looked for something. And if I wasn’t here, I’m certain you would have found something else.

You make your own life worth living by spending your free-time on things you enjoy, or find fulfilling. There’s no better way to live.
