Ask Lyra

askagentgummy-blog asked: You seem to be the type that also enjoys The Foo Fighters. Is this true?

They’re alright, sure.

I sort of favor acoustic Everlong over something like All My Life. Not that both aren’t fine choices!

garyyo asked: so thats a no on the crooked trees, ok. how about music? like muse or modest mouse or something? im not exactly sure where im going with this line of questioning.

Don’t put words in my mouth.

Memory serves, I’ve seen some more upbeat, or at least neutral drawings from that handle. When that happens, I am perfectly fine with enjoying them. I hold no grudges over something as minor as artistic taste. I just like to see happy things.

I like Modest Mouse! Float On in particular is one of my favorite songs! (I’m not counting that; I’ll probably use Float On somewhere down the road when asked what my favorite song is.)

Heard of Muse; not necessarily familiar with them. Have anything particularly striking by them you could link me to?

garyyo asked: how about artists like crookedtrees and johnjoseco? one of those is my favorite artist! the other one...

I like upbeat or silly drawings. The actual skill isn’t nearly as important as the subject matter.

We’ll leave it at that.

garyyo asked: scootaloo is an artist, or at least she could be, like she can draw a pretty good map, and singing, she is a great singer! i loved her song at the talent show.

She has a lot of promise, yes!

garyyo asked: well dont worry about it, i mint nothing by it (hehehe)

Oh lawd have mercy!

I really don’t see what the big deal with this mint-esque thing is.
Assuming you mean musical artists, I’m not really the best judge. I just pick songs here and there.
Not sure why you’d mean drawing artists, but if for some reason you did, I suppose...

totemeister asked: So Tote knows that Discord caused a lot of problems in Ponyville, but specifically, she was wondering what kind of weather happened near Lyra? Did she get hit by any chocolate rain over there? ((Sorry if this has been asked already, but Lyra is good about updating very frequently, so Tote did not see it, nya~!))

Well, I live in Ponyville, so yeah.

Chocolate rain, cotton candy clouds, twisters, floating buildings. If there was more, I didn’t see it. I was kinda trapped in a washing machine!

Thanks for the question, though!

In case anypony is wondering, I met Totesumi from a different website.

Anonymous asked: i have nothing to do, and this is fun. but you arent making this very fun, im off to bother another pony.

I just prefer a conversation.

I was talked at a lot when I was younger. I’ve developed a marked abrasion towards it.

Edit: Does that word work there? Whatever. You get the idea.

There were codes in Kirby? Can I have those codes. I want those codes.

Here you go!

The hard mode code popped up when you beat the game. The reverse of that let you mess around with some of the stats. It popped up after you beat hard mode.

Anonymous asked: ehh, you never know, you could be this wind fish and you really wouldnt know it till you wake up, but afterwards you probably wouldnt care for it either. i find it easier to enjoy life knowing that nothing great or noble or whatever is actually expected from me. that was like the best legend of zelda game too.

Are we having the same conversation? I get the feeling you’re just talking at me.

Anonymous asked: im just trying to make sure you understand that there is a chance that your life means absolutely nothing, that we all could be a dream of a god and upon waking up he will just forget about us. but there is no way to find out. i always chose not to finish that game, i didn't like the ending.

Nothing matters already.

Just enjoy what time you have.

You Never Completed It? It Was The First Video Game I Ever Beat.

The original Kirby was mine.

Anonymous asked: you see, me believing that i am god does not effect anyone, because i dont let it. so i find no harm in doing so, of course anyone else can also claim the exact same thing but i'm not the kind of god to go around smiting everyone i don't believe in, not that i can. have you ever played The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, i think of it like the wind fish is god of the island, as soon as i wake up(as in die) reality as we know it no longer exists, but i cant influence it like a normal god would

None of that is really relevant to anything. You were asking me about my opinion.

I played Link’s Awakening quite a bit, but I didn’t quite finish it.

paemerbiksem asked: Hey lyra want some fries * le hands box of fries*

No thanks! I’ve had too much tonight as is.
