Ask Lyra

lffb100 asked: *tries to enter the room without making sound* BOO! O hai other lyra how are you doing today.

Huh. You made me look, even though I keep the doors and windows locked.

I’m doing great! Still stoked about finishing that Metal Harbor recording!

How are you, other Bon-Bon? Or, maybe I should call you kinky Bon-Bon, considering your last answer?

Anonymous asked: Would you consider living in Ponyville? It's a nice place.

These are delightful questions.

I will savor them for now and address them at a later date!

paemerbiksem asked: who are you concerned about?

Sweetie, Gilda, Carrot, and Mint.

Not in that order, though.

paemerbiksem asked: how you doin´?

I’m doing fine.

Little worried about a few ponies, though.

Anonymous asked: Do you ever wish that you were a unicorn?

Can’t say that exact thought has ever crossed my mind before. For what should seem like obvious reasons.

Thanks! Sort of!
Seriously, thanks! I’m super proud of how it turned out!
And I’m plugging it again!

And I’m plugging it again!

HA HA~! I DID IT!

IT TOOK LIKE FOUR HOURS, BUT I DID IT!

Full Metal Harbor! Even the exact tempo used in the original piece!

Listen to it now!

Anonymous asked: Hugs from an anonymous pony!

Right back atcha, buddy!

exclamationpointman asked: Now, I'm unsure if this has been asked, but mind sharing some entry recommendations of literature for a general selection of your genre of reading? Who are some of the authors or what are some the books closest to you? Which ones come up as the most detrimental to all your reading history? Also, thought I'd add, it's rather strange you can find interest in maths and literature - they are often liked by quite different people!

Eh…

To be honest, I didn’t like Of Mice and Ponies. I know, I know. But I just don’t see the point. A couple of ponies died, but did it really matter? What was gained? It’s just a portrait of the negativity of the time. Significant for its time, but nothing you won’t learn about in history class by today’s standards. I don’t recommend it.

A Tale of Two Cities on the other hoof I found to be very appropriate! Only real problem I had, was, you know, the antiquated language. I’d recommend getting a modernized publication. Yes, you lose some subtleties, but it’s more important that the class understa-…

Wait, are we talking about classroom or general reading? I don’t read much anymore. Last thing I read was a half story, half handbook for Grammars during my last semester in college, before I had to drop out. Was really good, though!

I prefer to read simple dialogs. You know, how people actually communicate. Like what we’re doing right now! Which is funny, because there were plenty in that book!

garyyo asked: my favorite song that you played so far is the one in the sidebar. its like totally awesome.

I, too, enjoy that one.

I’m so glad I found the sheet music for it and learned how to play it!

asklilypony asked: Ah Lyra, I've just listened to your most recent music and you're as talented as ever. I just wished I didn't always miss them. (( I do check the side frequently though! c: ))

Thanks!

I didn’t want to say anything, in case it doesn’t work out. But I actually plan on doing a second pass on that Metal Harbor piece and seeing if I can’t get the section I missed.

exclamationpointman asked: Do you find interest or devote any time to the study sciences, even though you're mainly an artist? What's some theories and beliefs you strongly like to discuss?

Uh… Not really.

More into Literature/Composition and Math than Science or History.

Nothing against them! I just don’t have a very good memory for dates, names; things like that.

theblackstrawberry asked: The sonic adventure 2, metal harbor one!

Okay! Thank you!

I really liked that track from the game!

askraincloud-deactivated2012012 asked: Well it sounds very good~ you did a great job on it~ it just shows how good you are~

Which one?

theblackstrawberry asked: Yes that one! I just forgot to comment :p you are, of course, amazing!

“Is it this one or this one?”

“Yes!”

Can you be more specific?
