lambda-dusk asked: What is the hex colour code of your coat?
Somewhere around #88EFCD.
Probably not that exactly, but thereabouts.
talktofirebug asked: *Pinkie-Ghasp* how did you find out about My Secret PLAN?!?? ...oh, wait. eheh. Thank you, my dear ^_^; That-.. was-.. actually the exact post I was looking for..
And with that, this Lyra is going to bed.
Good night!
Anonymous asked: What measurements do you take to stay best pony?
I don’t.
Anypony is free to be best pony, if they can defeat me in moral combat…
Misspelled intentionally this time!
talktofirebug asked: *noddles* Talking with Trixie, working out the timing and making it accurate. Very high on the suggestion list. Right at the top, you might say. The bride taking cues from the music is a lot simpler than the music taking cues from the bride.
By the by, I saw your secret plan. This might help.
talktofirebug asked: Pssh, too many variables. Ugh, all right. I've been to a number of weddings, and the walk is a meassured, slow walk. She could take up to two minutes. Five if she's -really- hesitant or the chapel is longer than I'm thinking of. That's also if they're being traditional about it. If this is Trixie we're talking, she might just strut down the isle and that could be faster =b OR, you could just organise the timing with her instead, and have a proper solid idea =P
Yeah, definitely going to have a talk with her.
talktofirebug asked: Ah, see *now* I have some context. Oh wow, on the lyre? That's bound to sound beautiful... Okay, so.. do you have any time to practice at all? If so, do so, listen to it, find the part you like the sound of the most and repeat that from start to finish until the bride has reached the groom. Once she's there, end on a little flourish or light touch that should, i believe, sound lovely coming from a lyre. Even if it's not written down. Musicians are still artists, use your creative licence.
I guess I should ask Trixie how long it’ll take her to walk the length of a chapel while filled with unbelievable levels of emotion that leaves her barely capable of taking a step.
Anyone here been to a wedding before? Maybe payed even the slightest bit of attention to how slow the bride steps? I’m not bad at math; I can calculate a little. I just have nothing to go on!
Edit: I’m just not good at improvising.
daixxiii submitted:

is this true?
I don’t even know what this is supposed to be implying.
daixxiii submitted:
You know you want one.
No! You can’t do this to me!
In all seriousness, I already have something soft and fuzzy I can hold on to. And he’s pretty darn smart, too.
talktofirebug asked: Well, you're a smart musical pony, Lyra. Can't you figure it out-...? First, what's the length of the full piece? Second, would you loop it like a flash file loops? At the very start, the song has it's own build-up, then it's main body, and so it would just loop the body, yes? How much build-up are you wanting to arange? Think of it this way: If it's played by a live organ player, it can loop as many times as you want.
It’s not being played by an organ, it’s being played by me on the lyre. Only wedding I’ve ever been to was Carrot Tops, and I was too late for the walking down the isle. All I have is one page of music; sixteen measures, and no experience.
Anonymous asked: why did you move from Canterlot to ponyville?
Because my job ended, mostly.
Anonymous asked: Dawg, man's best friend.
Winona is pretty awesome.
imlyingtoyou asked: And the leg?

imlyingtoyou asked: Pssh, naw, that one only took a couple of days. Oh, but hey, I hears that you're dating a gorilla now. How's that workin' out?
You were misinformed.

imlyingtoyou asked: Hey. Hey Lyra, hey! Would you say that I'm... wait for it... a lyre?
Been sitting on that one for a while, haven’t you?
daixxiii-deactivated20111025 asked: Wasn't Smartypants one of those dolls from the eighties?
I lived in Canterlot, and I don’t remember a Smartypants line of dolls.
