When you’re me, then you can tell me how to deal with the things I’ve lived through.

You’re about the last pon… Whatever you’re supposed to be that I wanted to hear from during my lunch break.
Just leave me alone.
imlyingtoyou asked: Hey Lyra! Lyra! Lyra! Hey, Lyra! You remember that story about that guard... what was it he did... oh yah he like saved you but he died... that story, you remember that? I was just wondering, do you know if his family ever found out? Did he have a wife? ... a husband? Did he have kids? Did they wonder why daddy didnt come home? I wonder if they ever found out why he died too... Do they know he died protecting some young girl they didn't know? Some little street rat?
You… You’re a monster…

I’m glad I already wrote this game update, so at least I can just post it and go do something else.

You feel bad about all of this, but there’s no way you could have known, right?
You try to persuade Princess and Amy that Twist will be a great help, but with no real direction you just can’t seem to find the right words to say. Even you wouldn’t be convinced by what you said.
Twist looks upset.
The four of you head back inside and you distribute some of the things you brought. You pass a Blanket to Princess and Amy while keeping one for yourself; Twist brought her own. Food and Water are also distributed. You packed enough food for a few days. With all the snow on the ground you didn’t feel the need to pack too much water. Either way hunger and thirst should be no concern.
Princess’ bag contains fragile equipment, so Amy takes the Spade, Lighter, and you give her the Scarf as well since flying will leave her the most vulnerable to the cold. This leaves one of your saddlebags empty.
When you regain your Clawed Gauntlet, Bow, plus 20 Arrows, Twist offers to carry both of your bags as well as her own. This would leave you light on your feet and with a notable advantage even if sneaked up on, but would leave her encumbered. Alternately, she could carry her bag and only one of yours. Of course, you don’t necessarily have to carry all of this stuff around with you either. Maybe this room is safe and nothing would happen to it if left alone. Maybe.
At present, you can’t possibly carry everything you have and have access to it at the same time. If you carry the Bow and Quiver, you can only carry one bag.
Bag 1: Smithing Tools+Multitool+Binoculars/Blanket+Towel+Half Empty.
Bag 2: Food+Water/Rope.
…
You hadn’t noticed it until now, but you’re both hungry and pretty tired. You haven’t ate since before all of this began, and haven’t rested since then either. You’re a strong, hardy earth pony, but even you have your limits.

Glad to hear it!
vintage-bubblegum-grunge asked: How do you figure all these anons are doing all these assorted actions without anyone actually being able to identify their physical form as anything more than anonymous? If they have no identity to go by... Doesn't that mean that they have no actual power to do anything but pose possibilities, positive or not? Oh, wait, ow, my brain is starting to get too meta and now it hurts.
It’s not that cut-and-dry.
An “anon” is just a message I get on my page from a hidden source. But if an anon does something and then sends a message about it. I can’t stop that.

Here’s the raw frame of what I used for the last update, drawn by the very talented artfulkur. While we needed a Krastos frame anyway since somebody commanded Carrot to pester him, I told her actually you’re on our music team, and very passionate about making your own music for our animations, so she put a mindblowing effort into this. And she had fun too she said!
So all thanks go to her, I can’t really summarize what a piece of awesome this is, neither can I really take any credit here.
Enjoy!
I had to get up and walk away, and sit back down, and get up again, and wipe some tears from my eyes, and try really hard to stop grinning like an idiot.
Oh my Celestia, you guys. You don’t know what this means to me. Especially after having just received a gift picture not twenty-four hours ago with Boscov, Sweetie, and I.
It’s such an incredible feeling and I thank you so much artfulkur I can’t even think right now.
Also, it’s true. I’m trying my hardest to actually create original music for the Sugarcube Chronicles page. I’ve only done one, short track so far, and I don’t think it was very good, but I’m trying my best!
Thank you again! I had to type this out because I can’t even speak right now.

Well thank you very much! That was nice of you!
krastosthegluemaker-blog asked: Lyra, if you don't have anything planned for the end of the month, would you care to join me on my trip to Manehatten?
Oh my goodness! Of course!
Our first big trip together! That’s awesome!
Anonymous asked: *Hammers sign in front of Lyra's house that reads "A couple of nice ponies live here. They make pretty good neighbors."*
While I appreciate the gesture, poking holes in our yard is still bad for the grass.
Plus, to anypony that doesn’t have a tumblr and doesn’t understand what’s going on, it looks condescending.
Anonymous asked: *Hammers a sign in front of Lyra's house reading "throw turds here"*
Classy.
Oh, and I was delighted to look outside and find that sign really did get placed in our front yard.
Bon-Bon is [omitted] right-the-hay off.

What do you think should be done?
…
Well… You do have fingers, right?
I guess find out what benefits the society grants.
ask-pony-with-fingers-blog-blog asked: Have you heard of this Opposable Thumb Society? I'm uncertain as to what kind of response it should be given.
The what now?

Tears start to form in your eyes and you hold your head in pain. That blunt trauma, plus the loss of blood are probably what’s giving you a headache.
Probably.
You ask your friend Twist if she has a pair of binoculars, which she does as she developed a fondness for sightseeing some time ago. As she goes to fetch them, you let her know that she’s welcome to come with you, but that this is dangerous and you aren’t sure how things will end.
She replies to the affect that she’d never leave you to go alone, and would be delighted to help save your new friends. She begins to quickly pack a few things.
With that settled, and your nose no longer bleeding, the two of you set off back up the mountain. During your march, you and she make light conversation about things that have happened since last you spoke. Nothing vital, though.
You arrive and pass through the open gate at around 7 PM. It’s nighttime now and seeing is much harder than it was earlier. As you approach the hall where you left Princess and Amy, you hear them stir from inside and greet you by the doorway. Their greetings quickly change in tone when they see you aren’t alone. They talk rapidly and in a hushed tone between one another before asking why you brought somepony else. They both sound upset.
Twist seems put off and uncomfortable by all this, so you scold Princess and Amy for their behavior. They explain that they’ve pieced together a theory.
Whenever somepony passes that gate, another shadow appears, or the same one gains another form. Regardless of how it works, the larger the group, the greater the danger all of you are in.
This information is certainly startling, but if true, nothing can be done about it now. It’s already too late.
