Finished another awesome year at bronycon today, update post and such coming later. Grey and I were having our last dinner a few minutes ago at Bubba Gumps, and an extended family of about 11 were having issues splitting up the check. I may have accidentally paid their entire check after following their server into the kitchen. Oops. The server was cool and said exactly what I asked, of “some random person in here paid for your check, everything’s covered”. They were definitely not there for the con, so I know they won’t see this and spoil my cover.
Thanks everypony that bought something from me, you helped me have enough to randomly pay for a group’s dinner.
This is the guy that also gave me a couple of patches for free.
Basically the nicest person ever.

1) Woah! Woah! What the [omitted] dude?!
2) You’re basically out of lines then, huh? Probably should have quit while you were ahead.
After a short break, an earth pony mare steps into the ring with a foam battle-axe, and introduces herself as Juniper Berries of Coltswell.
Announcer: “Let’s hear it for our new challenger, Juniper Berries!”
The crowd stomps enthusiastically as the two contestants get into position.
Announcer: “Are you ready? And… fight!”
Before Juniper Berries can so much as react, Gerwalta’s weapon becomes a spiraling blur, and the foam battle-axe is sent flying out of the ring. Instantly disarmed, the pony finds herself at the mercy of the griffon’s foam spear, and eagerly resigns.
Moonflower: “Whoa, cool!”
Announcer: “This is it, ponies! Gerwalta the Gladiator claims her hundredth victory in a row!”
The crowd cheers once more. Gerwalta and Juniper Berries bow to each other, then the mare picks up her weapon, and returns it to the rack.
Minuette: “Over already? I know it’s all in good fun, but that Gerwalta looks a bit too strong for the league. I wonder if anypony can end her streak.”
Doesn’t seem like much of a tournament to me. Just looks like a single individual taking on any untrained challenger. No sign-up, no brackets. Was this event even promoted?
just downloaded this game, I hope I can get Terra!
There’s an event going on until the end of the 17th where if you make an account you get a bunch of free stuff, including 10 random rare character unlocks.
Well, there’s a trick called rerolling that you can do to manipulate your odds on those unlocks, if you have the time. This video explains it better than any of the write ups I read.
I did about 20-30 rerolls trying to get Leo before I settled on Terra, but in between all of that I had pulled every other rare character in the game other than Leo. And some of them multiple times!

Bon-Bon: I have made a terrible mistake…
Lyra: Haha! Wow! Is that off-season cider?! Non-alcoholic, I assume.
Bon-Bon: Well, of course. What do you take me for?
Lyra: Clearly “a hypocrite” would be asking too much. How about, “a pony“?
Bon-Bon: Why in Equestria did I hire Twist? I’ve never had an employee before! What do I do if she messes up?! I could never discipline her, let alone fire her! She’s just a filly, and she’s my friend! I taught her for a year! She looked up to me! It would crush her!
Lyra: Did she do anything wrong today? Bon-Bon: Yes! Well, no. I don’t know!
Lyra: … Should I as-? Bon-Bon: I returned to the shop to show Twist how to close and went into the back. I noticed a container of cinnamon misplaced. I asked Twist about it and she said her hooves were full carrying the cinnamon rock candy she made.
Lyra: … This is over something stupid, isn’t it? Bon-Bon: She’s not supposed to be cooking without me! Lyra: Alright alright! Did you tell her that?
Bon-Bon: I was about to… But she said she was replacing the supply that got bought out, just like I’d do it. And I tasted it, and it was just like I make it. So… So I don’t know!
Lyra: Not used to trusting somepony else, are you?
Bon-Bon: As long as I do it I know it’s done right.
Lyra: This will be a great learning experience for you then! Or the straw that breaks the pony’s back. One of the two, I’m sure.
