@asklyra, how much Deus Ex is too much Deus Ex?
Besides the original PC game I bought, I also bought it on Playstation 2 when I realized there was a port.
However the german translation was terrible.
So I looked on PSN and saw it had English screenshots, so I was like, aight, I’ll buy it, only for it to be the same terrible german translation.
So I was pretty much [redacted] having already three versions of Deus Ex with a really good PC version and I guess two weirdly translated PS2 versions of it, but now it went on sale on UK PSN, and I was like, you know, three euros ain’t the end of the world.
So now I own four versions of Deus Ex, two in English, two in German, and I’m really starting to wonder how much Deus Ex 1 is too much Deus Ex, especially because at some point I’ll wound up getting it on Steam too.
Even though I own it on Steam, I’ve never played the PC version (my copy there was a gift from a friend). I’m familiar with it, I just prefer the PS2 cinematics, even if they cut a few lines. And, as with KoToR, I like the console UI better than the PC’s.
I do need to play the PC version though, if nothing else, because there’s this years-in-the-making remaster mod for it that’s supposed to be the bee’s knees.
But I’m rambling. Basically what I’m trying to say is, there are worse things to collect than works of art.
Sometimes Skype will just randomly turn on.
Boooup!
And I have to go no no, not right now.
Boooup…

But nope, not stuck, its how I am

“Wow! That’s amazing! That opens up so many possibilities!”
I thought when I first glanced at a file. Then I tried to learn a song from the notation and… It’s just wrong.
Everything from single instruments with un-notated, elongated measures (meaning the other instruments would go out of sync unless every single measure following was rewrote), to ridiculous tempos with doubled up notes to create an effect that only works in midi format, to notes that are just plan wrong.
You see this?

That’s not the right note! It’s not an E! It’s an F sharp! It sounds like an F sharp when you play the file, but it’s wrote as an E in the program!
I tried a couple of different midis to see if it was a fluke but they’re all like that. Basically, it’s a nice thought, but in practice it’s just a hot mess.

Because it tends to turn this, into this.
In all seriousness though, because I didn’t know about it! There’s some gems here that take a track and give it a unique style without overpowering it.
Then you have a few that are even better than the original!
So overall, couldn’t find a single track from Bee 52 or (GB) Bonk’s Adventure. 0/10.
Not sure how this relates to sheet music, but thanks for letting me know about the site!

1) Does it trap me in Ponyville too? I’ve never read the fanfic (because that’d be weird) so I only knew about the part where everypony forgets about me.
I do own a black hoodie though! Very comfortable! Great for travel!
2) Bon-Bon: Is the first book much different than the movie? I didn’t even know it was based on a book series until Lyra looked it up.
Lyra: Look, all I’m trying to say is that Hamtaro was the best cartoon ever made-I’m not trying to turn this into some big debate. Mostly because it’s not debatable.
Blossomforth: How can you even say that in a universe where Cowboy Bebop exists?!
Lyra: Nothing wrong with the show, it just wasn’t Hamtaro. Not every show can reach that kind of potential.
Blossomforth: This is absurd! We Bare Bears is better than Hamtaro!
Lyra: Now now, let’s not say things we can’t take back.
Blossomforth: Ugh… Raindrops, bring us back to earth here.
Raindrops: Heh heh. Well, I really liked uh… KND?
Blossomforth: Are you kidding me?!
Lyra: Hmm. You liked how it’s world was much deeper than it appeared at first.
Raindrops: Yeah! Like My Little Human and Steven Universe!
Blossomforth: But it was just made up as they went along; you could tell that in season 1! At least Steven Universe did it right!
Lyra: Steven Universe did the same thing. Over half of the first season was just monster-of-the-week villain chasing. It’s a simple concept to get you started and acquainted with the characters before things get complicated.
Blossomforth: But the creators had things in motion even back then!
Lyra: But they weren’t realized until later in order to create self-contained episodes. Kids Next Door might not have done that as well, but it wasn’t supposed to. It was primarily comedy/action. Steven Universe is comedy/action/drama. If it was anything less than what it was it’d be terrible.
Bon-Bon: Swords down, fillies. I brought cookies. Still having your nerd-debate?
Lyra: What was your favorite cartoon, Bon-Bon?
Bon-Bon: Secret of NIHM.
Lyra: Ah… That’s a good one.
Blossomforth: That IS a good one.
Raindrops: I’ve never heard of it.
The other ones are still going to be a while, but here’s the first of five tracks celebrating my five year Tumblrversary!
I’ve been watching the Megaman section of Ninsheetmusic for years waiting for a Megaman X sheet I liked and they finally added one! This was an amazing arrangement that still had room for a little bit of my own creativity!

Well that felt good! I was going to wait until I got them all done, but I’m doing five new tracks for my five year tumblrversary and one of them has been done for like two weeks. I’ll just go ahead and post it!
Also, if you were interested, there were two newer tracks unlisted on the music page that have now been added.

1) Oh okay.
… What? Do you seriously believe that makes any sense? “I’m being ironic so it’s okay.“ “I said I was going to murder our nation’s leader but I was being ironic so it’s okay.“ “I yelled bomb in an airport but I was being ironic so it’s okay!“
What you’re describing is shock humor, which gets a few laughs by singling out the struggles of a group and invalidating them to others, who don’t have to care because they never lived it. At best, you’re reinforcing a culture that would rather numb itself than recognize real world atrocities that happen to this day. Which has the unfortunate side effect of making those things not look as bad as they are.
Case in point, you actually thought it was okay to make a joke about rape. Don’t worry, we’ll laugh about that later because comedy is tragedy plus time. And thinking rape is funny is pretty tragic.
2) Thanks. I’m not doing so well right now, so this helps.
3) I kinda sat on this for a while. I have no idea what day this was sent or who it refers to.
