1) Woah there, friend. You might need to slow down.

Bad stuff can only happen because of good stuff. If you know about bad stuff, there must be good things for you to contrast them against. Removing all the bad would remove all the good too. We just need to bring more good into the world. And we can all do that!

Let’s get creative! Just don’t eat a heart. (May be disturbing to younger viewers. Also totally unrelated to the message behind this answer.)

2) I’ve touched upon this before. I might be now. There’s just certain things I wouldn’t want foals exposed to, even if an adult willingly chooses to ingest something illegal.

3) I would say an adjustment to the marriage law would probably be more likely. Not that I consider that particularly likely either.

4) Nonsense. Hiding Discord there wouldn’t have been a very good disguise if other statues were criminals too. And really, who else would require such an imprisonment? Discord is immeasurably powerful.

5) The drugs were finally traced back to the Griffon nation. Borders were closed. A few well placed raids and a little time and there was nothing left.

See, the biggest narcotic in Equestria during that time was a salt-like rock called Arid. To the pony body it could serve as a replacement for salt, only it was a poisonous hallucinogenic as well. But the main ingredients for it don’t form in Equestria.

Edit: Oh yeah! Fuselight came over and we did a few asks with him as a guest! Those will show up in the morning queue starting Monday.

Okay okay okay. I couldn't think of anything original, but this is a classic. Go into the kitchen and eat a spoonful of some kind of spice by itself. Paprika, Thyme, something like that. If you can't find any you can try something like hot sauce or mustard. You don't get to eat or drink anything after.

i went for the mustard

Bon-Bon: What? He’s coming here?! Lyra! The house is a mess! Why didn’t you tell me?!

Lyra: Bon-Bon, he’s a mechanic. I’m sure he’s seen a worse mess than this.

Bon-Bon: What? Lyra, we need to clean up!

Lyra: But I hate vacuuming…

Bon-Bon: GET UP FROM THERE!

Lyra: Ug~h…

1) Lyra: I have a bunch of questions, but I wanted to get to this one now. I’m very sorry to hear that. You’ve been a delight to talk to and I wish there was something I could do to help.

Bon-Bon: I certainly hope you at least find someplace safe to say, if you are forced out. I’d hate for something to happen to you.

Lyra: I’m glad we could help ease your mind somehow. We both hope the best for you.

2) Was it last week or the week before? It wasn’t for very long. He insists he has time when I come over, but I know better. I can’t tell if I’m imagining it or not, but he looks more tired than before he started on his doctorate.

3) You’re fine, but why would you wear an eyepatch?

B: It’s been almost two months. You mean you’ve already been hired? That was fast for a government position.

But that’s great, Strawberry! Congratulations!

4) Lyra: Absolutely!

Bon-Bon: Of course! Can’t wait!

Lyra: Wait… the weekend is tomorrow… oops.

Bon-Bon: Plenty of notice, I’m sure.

1) The posts have been pretty much all over the place, but I assume you mean the human thing. What about it?

2) I don’t know what that is, so… maybe it already does?

3) Bon-Bon: Well, I don’t typically sell perishable produce; doesn’t keep for long enough. At the same time, I don’t know of anypony that grows strawberries and sells them with chocolate. Like I’ve said though, I can do special orders upon request. So you’d just come on down to Sweetie Drops ahead of time, and I’d make it happen. High quality and for cheaper than you’d suspect!

4) I hear that. I’m still paying off the the last two visits I had when my leg was petrified and then later broke.

I feel tired a lot right now, but that’s mostly because I don’t really have anything to do. Once school starts back up next week I’m hoping to change that. Still hoping I can get on permanent as an aid.

Lyra: What type of horrible conditions are we talkin’ about here? Horrible working conditions? Horrible sanitation conditions? Or are we goin’ full on soylent greens is ponies?

Bon-Bon: Not gonna lie; done that before. Well, I mean not cookies, but with candy. Don’t really do it anymore. There was a mix-up once. Was supposed to be for a bachelorette party but wound up being some minors for a sleepover. Was sort of lucky to have not been sued by the parents.

Lyra: “And I bet you thought you could get away with putting Scootaloo in the hospital didn’t you? DIDN’T YOU?! But I was wise to your games, Monsieur French Fry; if that even is your real name.”

Bon-Bon: Wow, that was a horrible Sweetie Belle.

Lyra: Shut up.

Bon-Bon: Considering her intake, I’m pretty sure Pinkie’s teeth are as indestructible as her stomach.

Lyra: I want to say Krastos told me he was a cheerleader in high school, but I can’t remember if that was him or not.

Bon-Bon: And I don’t know who that Beyonce is.

Lyra: I promise you you’ve at least heard Single Ladies before. And it’s Beyoncé.

Bon-Bon: Well excuse mé.

1) I saw when these were sent last night, but I try not to post too much all at once. But hey, gave me plenty of time to ponder.

2) I most certainly do not.

3) You mean like, right now or overall? ‘Cause the only pony that I know was up when I got these is Sir Lintalot ('cause he posted immediately after I did). And while he does follow me, I’m pretty sure he doesn’t actually read anything I post.

Sorry, just having a difficult time thinking of who would bother being cryptic.

4) In my bedroom, but I swear if I start hearing a rapping upon my chamber door I’m gonna pee myself and you’re cleaning it up.

5) If this is for the million bit grand prize, I’m gonna say because you’re bored and know I’ll eventually respond.

6) Okie dokie! Take care!

Edit: By the way, great job sending these backwards! This is how they showed up in my inbox and that made things a lot easier on me.

1) Not trying to be disrespectful if this is legit, but I’ve got a virus from a website before and it’s not fun. This seems sort of spammy so I need some evidence that I’m not going to regret going there.

2) Yeah, but medical bills can be killer. But if you can afford it I’d go. Could be something simple, but threatening as Anemia caused by dietary iron deficiency. I had that for a little while when I was younger. Felt tired and sick all the time.

3) There were plenty of games that were playable, just not a whole lot that were memorable or didn’t have superior sequels that negated their predecessors.

I do miss the minimal load times of cartage games from that era, though. Start game. Pick mode. Pick character. Start race. No load screen. No awkward pause. Nothing. Even freakin’ New Leaf has load screens.

And it’s cool. Ya just doesn’t has to call me Johnson.

4) Bon-Bon: Yeah… A shame. I mean, what mare wouldn’t want to be called Drops. Or Doctor Oops. But you can call me Bonnie, if you’d like.

Bon-Bon: And sure, I have some regular suppliers. I don’t grow anything myself, if that’s what you were asking. But I also might shop around on occasion. You know, make sure I’m not being gouged. You’d be surprised how little years of loyalty means until a supplier loses a big customer. Then it’s all, “I’m sure we can work something out.”

2) Loira? “Come on then, Loira! Your ganna be late for the pahr-tee!”

But to answer your question, Lie-ra.

3) Either I’m misunderstanding or you are. Ruling Hell offers both comfort and freedom, but at the cost of praying on others. I’ve never been all about making other pony’s lives harder, even when I used to do it all the time.

4) Well, that explains questions one and two, but still leaves number three gaping at the maw; why is this a thing? I mean, the video didn’t really seem that interesting to me and I’m sure there’s plenty of stuff like that out there that nopony cares about.

5) I hadn’t heard of it before, no. Probably because it was an illustrated text adventure; a genre somewhat before my time and far outside my preference. I mean, I guess it beats straight reading, but not by much.

Interesting mood for a cyberpunk world, though.

6) Thanks. I mean, when I was searching I found everything from videos of people throwing around unpaid for merchandise to a video of somepony who was posting public information of some girl who evidently upset him. Which is where my search ended because that’s just completely [omitted] up and [omitted] that guy.

Lyra: It’s too late for Everypony Loves Lyra. I would never agree to something like that unless Peter Boyle could be in it. Peace be with him.

Bon-Bon: What about Morgan Freeman? I thought you liked him.

Lyra: Bon-Bon, please. I’m trying to be realistic in my casting.

2) Having a creature of divine power in charge certainly gives you something to answer to.

3) “Wrong”, I guess.

4) For an expired prize? I don’t think you can “sentence” me.

1) Lyra: I don’t know about all that, but I use heavily salted water to help treat these mouth ulcers I get every so often. One or two times and it’ll clear up in only a couple of days. Can last a week or more if I do nothing. Only seem to get them if I eat too much salt. Like too many packs of Ritz crackers.

Bon-Bon: I suppose I’m pretty healthy. More importantly, I rarely get sick. Sorry about your headaches, though.

Lyra: I don’t get sick that often, but working with foals it’s sort of hard to resist. You’d be surprised what parents will send their kids in with. You’d have to have the immune system of a machine to not catch anything.

2) Lyra: The games. I can adapt pretty well to any controller, but if there isn’t anything memorable to play there’s no point.

Bon-Bon: I like this one. Everypony loves Lyra, but no pony ever seems to notice poor ol’ Bon-Bon.

3) Now that sounds more like it. And proper explanations are a must. When armed with appropriate knowledge and support, the only “weapon” the opposition have is being too lazy to change. And ponies like that aren’t worth wasting the time.

4) Friendship is built, not requested. We could potentially be friends, but it takes time, communication; things like that.

2) It’s already been a week. And while I don’t support the attempt to take down the tumblr in question, that doesn’t mean I don’t agree with the anti-rape culture cause they’re working toward. Of course it’s not about taking the page down. That would be like a civil rights group saying “all we want is equal job opportunities in the field of… construction.” Stopping at a single page on a single website would be a pointlessly limited scope to operate toward, but in their theory it’s an appropriate start.

The reason I don’t support it isn’t because the cause is pointless; it’s because the action is detrimental. You can’t hammer ponies over the head with your views and expect anything out of it. The only ones worth educating are those willing to listen. And the artist obviously isn’t one of them. Neither are the followers. So this all amounts to bad publicity that potentially turns away those who may have been willing to have a change of heart.

And I could go into a lot more detail on the subject too. But this isn’t an activist page and I’m not here to change anypony’s viewpoints. I just log in to relax and keep up with friends.

3) From what I was told, Mario Kart 64 was a day-one launch title along with Super Mario 64. I will tell you that you didn’t miss much, though. I hated the N64. I would hazard to say the only thing you really missed was Ogre Battle: Person of Lordly Caliber. It, along side March of the Black Queen for SNES, were two outstanding games.

1) Shoot. I knew I saved up too long.

2) This is usually where conversations about this lead. Even in Equestra. Ponies don’t talk about the seers. They don’t like them. A society doesn’t want to be monitored. Not because they are or aren’t doing anything wrong, but for fear of being called out on something. Alienated.

It’s always, “What if this? What if that?” But to directly address the question, nothing. The seers monitor vital signs, not thoughts. The only time anything would be done is if your vital signs indicate a potentially violent nature (which they evidently can tell).

I don’t know; it’s always been this way.

3) I severely doubt it, but I guess it’s possible. Even if it is, I don’t think it’s impact would ever pass outside of this website.

Maybe I’m just too busy focusing on the long term.

4) Very… different. Thanks for sharing!

At the very least, with Equestria not having freedom of speech, there’s no misunderstood representation of it.

1) Hey! I remember this tumblr! You were looking for somepony, or something.

I like that idea! Not sure how well the two mesh but I feel like there’s a lot of energy going on! As for the meat tree, I’d go with something sillier personally. Like milk that’s been genetically altered to have the same nutrients that meat has, and call it Meaty Milk! And in stores it’s always sold in these baby formula bottles. Very silly. Also very punk rock/counterculture.

2) Bon-Bon: What kind of hidden gags?

Lyra: Like those things during or after the credits.

Bon-Bon: You mean a stinger?

Lyra: Bad example. Like a Transformer toy in the background of a scifi movie about giant robots.

Bon-Bon: That’s funny? Sounds like a nod-to-the-fans.

Lyra: Ugh. You asked it anon; help me out here.

3) You know, when I saw this message I was going to argue it, but to do so I was going to bring up the exact pony the article’s about! He’s great! I love his music! I’ve even linked to a few of his tracks before! I love his Flamenco track!

And having read the article and now seen a few episodes of Gravity Falls, I’m upset by the decision against the artist. Though to be honest, not terribly surprised. He only did the intro song better than the original! That show would be so much more popular, and be worth more money, if Disney didn’t smother it ever chance they got.

1) Well sure, I’ve always wanted to make a game. Just as visual medium has it’s limitations, so does writing. I’ve messed with RPG Maker tons of times. I had a really cool project I was working on once but my computer fried and I lost around 6 months of work. Heavy work. Tried starting back up on it, but motivation was just gone. It was one of those multiple perspective things where you don’t really know what’s going on until you play as everypony. The cool part (at least I thought it was cool) was that each team was going to play differently. Oh well, I swept that under the rug long ago.

Hey! I just remembered I wrote a screenplay for an original series once! Takes place on human earth in modern times, but there’s magic, but magic only started to really proliferate when the internet arose and information about how to do it became easy to access. So the dynamic is law enforcement agencies struggling to keep up order in a world where all sorts of forces, or even random civilians (both criminal and non), are racing to become “all powerful” or at least to get away with whatever they want.

Got an A on the assignment.

2) I’ve touched on this before; it’s basically a cultural thing. Know what to look for. Learn how to spot refrains. Somepony will climb a building slow enough that others can see and they’ll climb up too and we’ll all go jumping from rooftop-to-rooftop.

Don’t try that at home, fillies and colts.

3) Bon-Bon: Sure I’d count mints as candy! Unless they’re mint leaves. But I don’t count cocoa beans as candy either. I don’t think anypony does.

Lyra: I always chew gum for too long and then my jaw gets tired.

4) Yeah, it wasn’t as good as the comics, but I still liked it. And that’s awful sweet of you. I was thinking of maybe trying it out while playing either Super Mario Kart or maybe Shadowrun Return’s starter campaign again. I’m kinda curious how awful I’d do at Mario Kart these days.

Finally got around to watching all of this. I had to stop a bunch of times just so I wouldn’t get bored. I wasn’t bored and I actually enjoyed it, but I stopped a bunch so I wouldn’t get bored. It was fun! I laughed a bunch! The suicide ferris wheel was nuts! And I didn’t expect him to be so good at darts! Are all humans good at darts?

There was one part during the five one-on-one matches where something was said implying the girl only played on mushroom cup when she was younger because she was a girl. I didn’t really appreciate that. I freakin’ gold cupped that entire game on 150cc. Granted, that was no easy feat.

But overall, I enjoyed it. I don’t know that I’d want to watch anymore of them. It was almost two hours long. Also, what is up with Asia and Asian? Aren’t the largest countries in Asia Russia, China, India, and Saudi Arabia? Why does the term Asian imply ancestry for only, if not less than, half the designated region of Asia? Am I missing something or is this arbitrary?

So, as an addendum to what I said about Shadowrun Returns, the last “dungeon” was crap, mechanically. Still avoiding spoilers, there was nothing I could use my deck on, so that was a wasted weapon slot. And on top of that you have to carry around this gimmick gun to kill these gimmick enemies once you’ve weakened them (which you have to kill in one turn or they get their power back). So my main character only had one real weapon.

At first I thought the final boss was going to be all Deus Ex-style, where there’s things set up for you to take advantage of depending on how you built your character. But nope. Can’t debuff the last boss at all. Nothing to hack. More and more gimmick enemies spawn the longer the fight goes. And they spawn faster and faster. I couldn’t keep them under control because of how many shots it takes with the gimmick guns to bring them down. Only reason I won on my third attempt was because of a lot of lucky rolls letting me just drop her quickly (and my S rank rig was really accurate).

BUT! The story was still really cool. And the campaign the game comes with is less of “this is it” and more of “this is an example.” Because it’s not really a standalone game so much as a level editor. And to that end, it’s great! I’m positive that other players are going to make some awesome content!

Just, you know, don’t forget about deckers in your last dungeon.

2) Maybe. Could you link one you liked or something?

3) Bon-Bon: Bon-Bon. With the hyphen. And no. I have one sister. She’s Tootsie’s mom-and didn’t I already answer this?

Lyra: You know, I’m not sure. I thought I remembered getting a question that just said “Hi” a while ago, but I never answered it and now it’s gone. No telling how many times that’s happened.

Bon-Bon: Well, that’s not fair.

4) It certainly has! I figured you were okay. At least I hoped so. What have you been doing?

5) Thanks! Glad you enjoyed! Unfortunately tomorrow is my last one. Was fun having a steady morning queue for a while!

1) Lyra: Sometimes I wonder if scrunch battle was worth tasting a book over.

Bon-Bon: Just be glad it didn’t go up the other end.

2) Bon-Bon: That’s happened all of, what, twice? Usually I’m the one that’s gone. I have a full time job and a business to run.

3) About one-and-a-half times bigger in overall size. He’s only about a head taller than me standing, though. Most of his size is in his body mass. He’s actually small for a bear. Having seen his family I think it’s hereditary.

The banner on my page is pretty good. His head is a little bigger. Sort of makes it look like my head is bigger/same size as his.

4) I’m pretty sure I’d have one pony that would watch for like five minutes and then go “boooooriiiiiiing” and disconnect. I mean, the only thing I’m really playing on my computer right now is Warframe. Although I do have this one really cool automatic shotgun I’ve modded so that it fires like a machine gun. It’s pretty fun.

5) Hey! That’s pretty cool! I like hearing stuff like that, where the team put some real thought into even the simple things.

1) Salut! Hello! Good to hear from you! I’m fine. How are you?

2) Bon-Bon: Sorry. I’ve seen commercials for it, though! If I do watch it, it will probably be after it’s finished and I can marathon all the episodes. I just hate getting wrapped up in something and then having to wait to see what happens.

Lyra: Too much production and not enough content.

Bon-Bon: Again, nopony asked you.

Lyra: I’m just sayin’.

Bon-Bon: And I’m just “sayin’”, shush!

3) Uh… Not that I know of. Interesting story, though.

Well, I mean technically every system up until the current generation was illegally manufactured. They were all recreations based upon studying schematics. But there was never a new system created to play games on.

4) Aw… Sorry about your save file. I’m sure that party was a blast, though!

Sorry I didn’t really do anything for three days. It’s not like I’m busy. I’m just playing video games.

1) Transformers is alright. I don’t really know the characters very well.

I’m going to a birthday dinner in Canterlot for a friend tomorrow. It’s my online buddy. Bon-Bon went to hang out with a friend of hers. Nothing else I can think of at the moment.

Bon-Bon and I can both swim. In fact, the place I was house-sitting for had a pool! Rich ponies love to have pools. I swam in it a few times.

2) I doubt she’d want to. Fortunately, I know most of the story. She was playing as a rat hunter; that means she killed bandit NPCs, sort of like you would in a traditional MMO. Sometimes she’d get attacked by a player. One time it happened she blew up the ship and while retrieving the cargo of the other player, found a ship log. It contained information about the player’s corporation selling contracts to unaligned players to have them attack this other corporation. There were a bunch of player names in the log, and it listed the leader of the other corporation.

So, she sent a message to the leader and got a reply. They went back and forth over details and agreed to a meeting out in unprotected space, which is about as shady in the game’s world as it sounds. They meet; guy had a huge ship with enough firepower to blow my friend up before she could even lock on. But it all went down civilly and she hoofed over the log.

And you know, it’s all serious business, because it’s a hardcore game. But at the same time it is just a game. So the whole time the leader guy was reading over the log he was just saying, “This guy was such a [omitted] idiot. Why would you write this ingame? She could have just windowed out to look it up.”

So he handed some astronomical sum of money to my friend, because it was hayseed to him. She gets herself all set up in a pretty decent ship and everything. Then, as she tells it, the following starts. Ships just following her around in protected space. If she hangs around too long in lower security sectors, a ship or two would show up and start locking on her. She wound up so paranoid she had to quit all together because she couldn’t do anything!

Anyway, yeah, those Digimon World games always seemed to have pretty questionable quality. And I only played the first one, but I never knew what I was doing. Anything I accomplished, which was a fair deal, was a complete accident.
